[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]: Ayat 52-54

Ayat 52. And verily! Your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me.
Ayat 53. But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief.
Ayat 54. So leave them in their error for a time.
[Tafseer] of ayat 52. And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood. And Allah is your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Allah (and no other). All prophets form one Brotherhood: their Message is one, and their religion and teaching are one: they serve the One True Allah (as God), Who loves and cherishes them; and they owe their duty to Him and Him alone. in ayat 53. stern warning to people have who have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. The people who began to trade on the names of the prophets cut off that unity and made sects; and each sect rejoices in its own narrow doctrine, instead of taking the universal teaching of Islam the Unity from Allah. But this sectarian confusion is of man's making. It will last for a time, but the rays of Truth and Unity will finally dissipate it. in ayat 54. Allah said to leave them in their confused ignorance for a time till torment hit them

Hazrat Abu Zaid Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) he is one of those who gave their pledge of (Rid'wan) allegiance to the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) under the Tree) said: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who swears by a religion other than that of Islam, is like what he has professed. He who kills himself with something, will be tormented with it on the Day of Resurrection. A person is not bound to fulfill a vow about something which he does not possess. Cursing a believer is like murdering him.''
[Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 73, Hadith # 73]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 53."But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects," "He who swears by a religion other than that of Islam'' here means either of the two things stated here. For instance, if a person says: "If I do such and such, then I am a Christian or a Jew.'' Now if he really intends to embrace Christianity or Judaism, he will immediately become so because his intention to be a Kafir (disbeliever) is Kufr (infidelity) in itself. But if the vow is meant to deny the adoption of other religions and is intended to express his firm resolution to live as a Muslim to the last even then such a vow is undesirable and is a sin for which one must seek Allah's forgiveness. The last sentence of this Hadith evidently shows that to curse a Muslim is forbidden because it is akin to killing him.

[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]: Ayat 49-51

Ayat 49. And indeed Allah gave Musa PBUH (Moses) the Scripture, that they may be guided.
Ayat 50. And Allah made the son of Maryam (Mary) and his mother as a sign, And Allah gave them refuge on high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams.
Ayat 51. O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.], and do righteous deeds. Verily! Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
[Tafseer] of ayat 49. And Allah gave Moses PBUH the Book Turat, in order that Bani Israeil might receive guidance. Here the reference is to the second part of the mission of Moses PBUH, that to the Israelites, which the Israelites rendered ineffective by their want of faith. ayat 50. And Allah made the son of Mary PBUH and his mother as a sign: Allah gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs. The virgin birth of Jesus PBUH was a miracle both for him and his mother. She was falsely accused of unchastity, but the child Jesus PBUH triumphantly vindicated her by his own miracles (19:27-33), and showed by his life the meanness of the calumny against his mother. There is no need to look far for the place where mother and child were given secure shelter. It is described in 19:22-26. It was the place to which she withdrew to be delivered when the time drew near. There was a fruitful palm tree, evidently on high ground, for beneath it flowed a spring. She retired there in seclusion, and she and her child rested there until it was time for her to go to her people with her child. ayat 51. O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well acquainted with (all) that ye do. Literally, "eat". as in Surah 5: ayat 66. The prophets of Allah do not pose as ascetics, but receive gratefully all Allah's gifts, and show their gratitude by their righteous lives.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "O people! Allah is Pure and, therefore, accepts only that which is pure. Allah has commanded the believers as He has commanded His Messengers by saying: `O Messengers! Eat of the good things, and do good deeds.' (23:51) And He said: `O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you...''' (2:172). Then he [SAWW](PBUH) made a mention of the person who travels for a long period of time, his hair are disheveled and covered with dust. He lifts his hand towards the sky and thus makes the supplication: `My Rubb! My Rubb!' But his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothes are unlawful and his nourishment is unlawful, how can, then his supplication be accepted?''
[Muslim Book 08, Chapter 18, Hadith # 2214].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 51."Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal" For the grant of prayer, honest earning is essential. Allah accepts charity only if it has been earned in an honest way. Moreover, before any pious action, honest earning for living is essential; otherwise good actions will also go waste.

[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]: Ayat 45-48

Ayat 45. Then Allah sent Musa PBUH(Moses) and his brother Harun PBUH(Aaron), with Allah's Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and manifest authority,
Ayat 46. To Firaun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they behaved insolently and they were people self-exalting (by disobeying their Lord, and exalting themselves over and above the Messenger of Allah).
Ayat 47. They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves, and their people are obedient to us with humility (and we use them to serve us as we like)."
Ayat 48. So they denied them both [Musa PBUH(Moses) and Harun PBUH(Aaron)] and became of those who were destroyed.

[Tafseer] of ayat 45. Then Allah sent Moses and his brother Aaron, Signs and authority manifest, they had a twofold mission: (1) to Pharaoh and his Court, which failed because of Egyptian arrogance; (2) to the Israelites, for whom the Law was received on Mount Sinai , but they repeatedly rebelled against Allah. In both cases there were miracles ("Clear Signs") and other proofs which showed that they came at Allah's command and were inspired by His authority. in ayat 46. Pharaoh and his Chiefs: behaved insolently: they were clerly arrogant people and in response they said to Prophets PBHU : "Shall we believe in in you two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!" Racial arrogance made the Egyptians say, 'These men belong to a race which we hold in subjection as our slaves: how can we accept them as messengers of Allah?' they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures - death.''
[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2307].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 48."they denied them both and became of those who were destroyed" Being heedful and talking about death checks man from being lost in the worldly pleasures and seductions. We are, therefore, supposed to remember death frequently and to avoid remaining indifferent to post-death affairs and occurrences.

[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]: Ayat 44

Ayat 44. Then We sent Our Messengers in succession, every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not.

[Tafseer] 44. Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! Their habitations and their organization have been wiped out. What remains is merely a vague story of their existence, a tale that is told. Where their name remains, which is not always the case, it is only a byword, suggesting all that is unstable and ephemeral-"to point a moral and adorn a tale"

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. A man would be a believer in the morning and turn to disbelief in the evening, or he would be a believer in the evening and turn disbeliever in the morning, and would sell his Faith for worldly goods.''
[Muslim Book 01,Chapter 51, Hadith # 213]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 44."So away with a people who believe not." This Hadith tells that the Day of Resurrection will be preceded by a long chain of calamities. Because of the rush of these calamities, religion and Faith will loose their value in people. There will be a race for wealth, so much so that people would not hesitate to compromise their religion and Faith to acquire wealth. People will rapidly change their faces. This is what actually happening. In this situation true believers are exhorted to adhere strictly to Faith and perform noble deeds without delay.

[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]: Ayat 41-43

Ayat 41. So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, disobedient to His Messengers, etc.).
Ayat 42. Then, after them, We created other generations.
Ayat 43. No nation can anticipate their term, nor can they delay it.

[Tafseer] of ayat 41. Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! Ghutha ': rubbish of dead leaves, or scum floating on a torrent. ayat 42. Then Allah rose after them other generations. ayat 43. No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it).

Hazrat Abu Musa Al-Ashari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW] (PBUH) said, "When Allah intends to show mercy to a people, He collects their Prophet before them and makes him a herald to happiness for them in the Hereafter; and when He intends to destroy a people, He punishes them while their Prophet is alive, and destroys them while he is alive and watches them and makes him witness their destruction because they disbelieved in him and disobeyed his commands".
[Muslim Book 30, Chapter 08, Hadith # 5679]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 43."No nation can anticipate their term" This Hadith tells us about a Divine law in respect of Prophets, which is meant to deter people from opposing the Prophet (PBUH) and commands us to follow his footsteps, so that we can benefit from his intercession on the Day of Resurrection.

[23].Surah Al-Muminun [The Believers]: Ayat 39-40

Ayat 39. He (Nuh PBUH) said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me."
Ayat 40. (Allah) said: "In a little while, they are sure to be regretful."
[Tafseer] of ayat 39. (The prophet Nuh PBUH) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." Every prophet is maligned and persecuted: it is always the same story with them, told in different ways. ayat 40. ((Allah)) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!" When the Punishment conies, they will be sorry for themselves, but it will be too late then.
Hazrat Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) had any fear of an enemy, he used to supplicate: "Allahumma inna naj`aluka fi nuhurihim, wa na`udhu bika min shururihim (O Allah! We put You in front of them, and we seek refuge in You from their evils).''
[Ahmad and Abu Dawud Hadith # 1537].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Muminun Ayat 39."(Nuh PBUH) said: "O my Lord! Help me" When one is gripped with fear, he should recite the prayer quoted in the text of this Hadith. Since Allah is the One Who saves from an enemy, one should therefore, pray to Him and beseech His Help.
