[25].Surah Al-Furqan [The Criterion]: Ayat 66-67

Ayat 66. Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell.
Ayat 67. And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes).

[Tafseer] of Ayat 66. "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; The misery which results from sin is not only grievous to live in ("an abode") but also grievous "to rest in" or "to stand in", if it be only for a short time. [Tafseer] of Ayat 67. Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes); In ordinary spending, this is a wise rule. But even in charity, in which we give of our best, it is not expected that we should be extravagant, i.e., that we should either do it for show (to impress other people), or do it thoughtlessly, which would be the case if we "rob Peter to pay Paul". We should certainly not be miserly, but we should remember everyone's rights, including our own, and strike a perfectly just balance between them.

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The supplication most often recited by The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) was: "Allahumma atina fid-dunya hasanatan, wa fil-akhirati hasanatan, wa qina `adhab-annar (O our Rubb! give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire).''
[Al-Bukhari Book 35, Chapter 09, Hadith # 6507].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Furqan Ayat 66. Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell" It is desirable to recite this Du`a which is mentioned in the Qur'an (2:201) and which comprehends all that is good both in this life and the Hereafter. The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) made it a habit to recite this Du`a, and the Companions were eager to follow him in all his words and actions.

[25].Surah Al-Furqan [The Criterion]: Ayat 63-65

৬৫. এবং যারা বলে, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমাদের কাছথেকে জাহান্নামের শাস্তি হটিয়ে দাওনিশ্চয় এর শাস্তি নিশ্চিত বিনাশ;

Ayat 63. And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.
Ayat 64. And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing.
Ayat 65. And those who say: "Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment."

[Tafseer] of Ayat 63. And the servants of ((Allah)) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!"; Ignorant: in a spiritual sense. Address : in the aggressive sense. Their humility is shown in two ways: (1) to those in real search of knowledge, they give such knowledge as they have and as the recipients can assimilate; (2) to those who merely dispute, they do not speak harshly, but say "Peace!", as much as to say, "May it be well with you, may you repent and be better"; or "May Allah give me peace from such wrangling"; or "Peace, and Good-bye: let me leave you!". [Tafseer] of Ayat 64. Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; Humble prayer brings them nearer to Allah. Ayat 65. Those who say, "Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,- This is a prayer of humility: such a person relies, not on any good works which he may have done, but on the Grace and Mercy of Allah: and he shows a lively sense of the Day of Judgement, when every action will weigh for or against a soul.

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When a non-believer does good deed he is made to taste its reward in this world. And for believer is concerned, Allah (SWT) stores (the reward) of his virtues for the hereafter and provides him sustenance in accordance with his obedience to him (in this world)".   [Muslim Book 39, Chapter 11, Hadith # 6740].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Furqan Ayat 63."And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness," this Hadith shows the value of the Hereafter and its blessings compared to the worldly life. This Hadith also induces one to work for the life of the Hereafter, as the amenities of this world which one strives hard to attain.

[25].Surah Al-Furqan [The Criterion]: Ayat 61-62

Ayat 61. Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light.
Ayat 62. And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude.

[Tafseer ] of Ayat 61. Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; The glorious Lamp of the skies is the Sun; and next to him is the Moon, which gives borrowed light. The Constellations of course, include the Signs of the Zodiac, which mark the path of the planets in the heavens. [Tafseer] of Ayat 62. And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude. The scenes of the phenomenal world are Signs of the Self-Revelation of Allah, for those who understand and who have the will to merge their wills with His. This they do (1) by praising Him, which means understanding something of His nature, and (2) by gratitude to Him, which means carrying out His Will, and doing good to their fellow creatures. These two attitudes of mind and heart give rise to various consequences in their lives, which are detailed in the following verse.

Narrated by Hazrat Safiyyah, daughter of Abu `Ubaid, (May Allah be pleased with them) reported on the authority of some of the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) who said : The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who goes to one who claims to tell about matters of the Unseen and believes in him, his Salat (prayers) will not be accepted for forty days.''  [Muslim Book 26, Chapter 33, Hadith # 5540].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Furqan Ayat 61."placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp" We learn from this Hadith that visiting soothsayers and astrologers for the purpose of knowing from them what lies hidden in future is such a great offense that he who does it, loses all merits of his forty days Salat. Some people try to detect the culprits involved in a theft case through the so-called fortunetellers or seek their advice in matters relating to business, marriage etc. All such things are unlawful because Allah Alone knows the invisible world.
