[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 19

Ayat 19. Then when Musa PBUH (Moses) decided to seize the man who was an enemy to both of them, the man said: "O Musa (Moses)! Is it your intention to kill me as you killed a man yesterday? Your aim is nothing but to become a tyrant in the land, and not to be one of those who do right."

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 19. Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy to both of them, that man said: "O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things right!" When Moses considered further that the Egyptian was unjust and that the Egyptian was an enemy to Israel generally (including both Moses and the man assaulted), he was going to intervene again, when he received a double warning, one from the Egyptian who was fighting, and the other from some man (Israelite or Egyptian) who was friendly to him, as explained below. We may suppose that after the first day's fight, there had been a great deal of talk in the bazaars, both among Israelites and Egyptians. Probably the Israelites were elated at finding a champion-perhaps more elated than they should have been, and in a provocative mood, which deserved Moses' rebuke. Probably the Egyptians had discussed who this new champion was, and had already appraised the Palace, to which Moses had not dared to return. The Egyptian saw the tactical advantage of his position. In effect he said: 'We have found out all about you. You live in the Palace, and yet you come clandestinely and kill our Egyptians. Are you going to do the same with me? You are nothing but a bully! And you talk of setting things right! That is what you should do if you were true to your salt!'
Hazrat Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "I see what you do not see and I hear what you do not hear; heaven has squeaked, and it has right to do so. By Him, in Whose Hand my soul is, there is not a space of four fingers in which there is not an angel who is prostrating his forehead before Allah, the Exalted. By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would laugh little, weep much, and you would not enjoy women in beds, but would go out to the open space beseeching Allah".  [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2312]

Lesson : This Hadith also highlights the importance of fear of Allah because the more awareness a Muslim has of the Majesty and Magnificence of Allah, the greater shall be the terror in his heart for His punishment and hope of His Mercy. With this state of mind, he will perform greater acts of obedience and abstain more rigidly from sins.
2. The Hadith also mentions the heaven teeming with angels who are all the time prostrating before Allah in worship. When this is the condition of the angels, who do not slack for a moment in the obedience of Allah, how important it is for man to worship Him because he is all the time violating commands of Allah. It is, therefore, incumbent on man to obey Allah and always seek His Help and Refuge.

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 18

Ayat 18. So he became afraid, looking about in the city (waiting as to what will be the result of his crime of killing), when behold, the man who had sought his help the day before, called for his help (again). Musa (Moses) said to him: "Verily, you are a plain misleader!"

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 18. So he saw the morning in the city, looking about, in a state of fear, when behold, the man who had, the day before, sought his help called aloud for his help (again). Moses said to him: "Thou art truly, it is clear, a quarrelsome fellow!" The man was an Israelite. But Moses was himself in a distracted mood, for the reasons given above, and he was exasperated at this public appeal to him again.
Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When a Muslim plants a tree, whatever is eaten from it is charity from him and whatever is stolen is charity and whatever is subtracted from it is charity".
[Muslim Book 010, Chapter 23, Hadith # 3764].
Another narration says: "If a Muslim plants a tree, or sows a field and men and beasts and birds eat from it, all of it is charity from him".  [Muslim Book 010, Chapter 23, Hadith # 3766].

Lesson : This Hadith highlights the importance of gardening and agriculture. It is also one of the merits of these two occupations that if someone patiently bears the loss that he suffers due to pilferage or theft of their produce, he is rewarded for it.

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 17

Ayat 17. He said: "My Lord! For that with which You have favoured me, I will never more be a helper for theMujrimun (criminals, disobedient to Allah, polytheists, sinners, etc.)!"

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 17. He said: "O my Lord! For that Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace on me, never shall I be a help to those who do sinful acts !" He takes a conscious and solemn vow to dedicate himself to Allah, and to do nothing that may in any way assist those who were doing wrong. This was his general idea, but no plan had yet shaped itself in his mind, until a second catastrophe brought matters to a head, and he was plunged in adventure.

Hazrat Zaid bin Labidh (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) mention about very dangerous thing and said, "There will be time (in future) where knowledge of Deen (Islamic Teachings) will be vanished.'' Hazrat Zaid (May Allah be pleased with him) further asked, O' Messenger of Allah image001.jpg  [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H)  how come the knowledge of Deen (Islamic Teachings)will be vanished we are reciting Quran and also teaching our children (descendants) and they are teaching their children (descendants), in reply The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) said " O'Zaid I think of you as most intelligent person of Madinah, you do not notice the Jews and Christian are reciting (Scripture) the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) Holy Bible (the Holy Books), but do they follow the teaching in it ? ".
[Ibn Majah].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 17. “I will never more be a helper for the Mujrimun” also mention in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 66. And if only they had acted according to the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Qur'an), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet. This Hadith serves a stern warning for those who do not follow the Divine injunctions and do not discharge their duty towards Allah. such follower of Islam who just recite Quran but do not intent to follow its message and teaching, It is regrettable indeed that present-day Muslims do not follow this the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet image001.jpg [S.A.W.W](PBUH) and instead observe the baseless practices, also 'Ulama', preachers and reformers of the Ummah whose own conduct is contrary to the sermons they give from the pulpit. This Hadith confirms that all Prophets of Allah were men and thus refutes those who attribute divinity to them and exclude them from the category of men or regard them a part of Allah, as Christians believes Prophet Isa (PBUH) (Jesus to be Christ) by regarding him Allah or His son, or the Jews do Prophet `Uzair (PBUH) by venerating him as son of Allah.

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 16

Ayat 16. He (Musa PBUH) said: "My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so forgive me." Then He forgave him. Verily, He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 16. Musa PBUH prayed: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul! Do Thou then forgive me!" even he have no intention to kill anyone it was mere accident but even thou he felt he must ask for forgiveness, So ((Allah)) forgave him: for He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Hazrat Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The best supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul-Istighfar) is to say: `Allahumma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana `abduka, wa ana `ala `ahdika wa wa`dika mastata'tu, A’udhu bika min sharri ma sanatu, abu'u laka bini`matika `alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta. (O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favors that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).' He who supplicates in these terms during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening), he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah; and if anyone supplicates in these terms during the night with firm belief in it and dies before the morning, he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah.''  [Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 318].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 16. “"My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so forgive me." This Hadith tells us about the etiquette of praying to Allah and while seeking forgiveness. This Dua is very comprehensive and therefore called best (King) of Istighfar (Syed-ul-Istighfar).

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 15

Ayat 15. And he entered the city at a time of unawareness of its people, and he found there two men fighting, - one of his party (his religion - from the Children of Israel), and the other of his foes. The man of his (own) party asked him for help against his foe, so Musa PBUH (Moses) struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: "This is of Shaitan's (Satan) doing, verily, he is a plain misleading enemy."

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 15. And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!" That may have been either the time of the noontide siesta, when all business is suspended even now in Egypt , or the time of night, when people are usually asleep. The latter is more probable, in view of verse 18 below. But there is also another suggestion. A guest in a Palace is not free to wander about at will in the plebeian quarters of the City at all sorts of hours, and this applies even more to an inmate of the Palace brought up as a son. Moses was therefore visiting the City privately and eluding the guards. His object may have been to see for himself how things were going on; perhaps he had heard that his people were being oppressed, as we may suppose that he had retained contact with his mother. His object was apparently to strike him so as to release the Israelite, not to kill the Egyptian. In fact he killed the Egyptian. This was unfortunate in more ways than one. His visit to the City was clandestine; he had taken the side of the weaker and despised party; and he had taken the life of an Egyptian. He was full of regrets and repentance, and he prayed to Allah, and obtained Allah's forgiveness.

Hazrat Suleiman bin Surad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) when two men began to quarrel and curse each other and the face of one of them turned red and the veins of his neck were swollen (from rage). Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "I know of a word, if he were to utter that, his rage would vanish and that is: A’udhu billahi minash-Shaitan nir-rajim (I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed).'' So they (Companions) said to him: "The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) tells you to utter: 'I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed".
[Muslim Book.08, Chapter 73, Hadith # 74].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 15. “This is of Shaitan's (Satan) doing, verily, he is a plain misleading enemy” In the event of rage if a person becomes conscious that what he is feeling is a suggestion from Satan, he should prevent himself from it; this consciousness is the best remedy to overcome the rage. Those who are easily infuriated could make use of this prescription.

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 14

Ayat 14. And when he attained his full strength, and was perfect (in manhood), We bestowed on him Hukman(Prophet hood, right judgment of the affairs) and religious knowledge [of the religion of his forefathers i.e. Islamic Monotheism]. And thus do We reward the Muhsinun (i.e. good doers).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 14. When he reached full age, and was firmly established (in life), We bestowed on him wisdom and knowledge: for thus do We reward those who do good. Full age may be taken to be mature youth, say between 18 and 30 years of age. By that time a person is fully established in life: his physical build is completed, and his mental and moral habits are formed. In this case, as Moses was good at heart, true and loyal to his people, and obedient and just to those among whom he lived, he was granted wisdom and knowledge from on high, to be used for the times of conflict which were coming for him. His internal development being complete, he now goes out into the outer world, where he is again tried and proved, until he gets his divine commission.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures - death.''
[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2307].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 14.“And thus do We reward the Muhsinun (i.e. good doers)”.Being heedful and talking about death checks man from being lost in the worldly pleasures and seductions. We are, therefore, supposed to remember death frequently and to avoid remaining indifferent to post-death affairs and occurrences.

[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 12-13

Ayat 12. And We had already forbidden (other) foster suckling mothers for him, until she (his sister came up and) said: "Shall I direct you to a household who will rear him for you, and sincerely they will look after him in a good manner?"
Ayat 13. So did We restore him to his mother, that she might be delighted, and that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the Promise of Allah is true. But most of them know not.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 12 & 13. And we ordained that he refused suck at first, until (His sister came up and) said: "Shall I point out to you the people of a house that will nourish and bring him up for you(3338) and be sincerely attached to him?"...3338 For you: i.e., on your behalf. Thus Moses got the benefit of his mother's milk (symbolical of all the traditions and spiritual heritage of his ancestry and his people) as well as the prestige and the opportunities of being brought up in the royal family, with the best of teachers to teach him Egyptian wisdom. In addition, there was the comfort to his mother. Thus did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand. Allah's promise is always true, but short-sighted people, if they are a little thwarted in their plan, do not understand that Allah's wisdom, power, and goodness are far more comprehensive than any little plans which they may form.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "When a Muslim, or a believer, washes his face (in the course of Wudu'), every sin which he committed with his eyes, will be washed away from his face with water, or with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, every sin which is committed by his hands will be effaced from his hands with the water, or with the last drop of water; and when he washes his feet, every sin his feet committed will be washed away with the water, or with the last drop of water; until he finally emerges cleansed of all his sins.''
[Muslim Book # 02, Chapter # 07, Hadith # 0475].

Lesson : This Hadith has the same meaning mentioned in another Hadith. That is to say, such minor sins are washed off by Wudu'. In other words, Wudu' is a means of purification of the body as well as the soul.
