[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]: Ayat 060

Ayat 60. And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 60. And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell – in humiliation!" As this life is not the end of all things, and we are to have its fulfillment in the Hereafter, we have only to pray to the Lord of the Present and the Hereafter, and He will hear us, forgive us, guide us, and make our Path smooth. But Pride will have its fall-and its humiliating Punishment. Cf. 37:18.

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) used to say when he was in distress: "La ilaha illallahul-Azimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbul-`Arshil-`Azim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati, WA Rabbul-ardi, WA Rabbul-`Arshil-Karim. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the heavens, the Rubb of the earth, and the Rubb of the Honorable Throne).'' [Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 357]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 60. And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation)The only medicine in a time of distress is the remembrance of Allah Whose Help alone should be sought. This Dua contains words which glorify Allah and exalt Him far above all else. It is desirable to recite these words when one is in distress as this is exactly what the Prophet (PBUH) used to recite in such situations.

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]: Ayat 058-059

Ayat 58. And not equal are the blind and those who see, nor are (equal) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous good deeds, and those who do evil. Little do you remember!
Ayat 59. Verily, the Hour (Day of Judgment) is surely coming, therein is no doubt, yet most men believe not.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 58. Not equal are the blind and those who (clearly) nor are (equal) those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and those who do evil. Little do ye learn by admonition! The man of Faith who backs his faith by righteous conduct is like the man of clear vision, who sees things in their true perspective and walks with firm steps in the Way of Allah. The man who does evil is like a blind man: the Light of Allah is all around him, but the man has made himself blind, and he can see nothing. He has rejected Faith and cannot even learn by other people's admonition. Ayat 59. The Hour will certainly come: Therein is no doubt: Yet most men believe not. "The Hour" is the crown and consummation of man's life on this earth—the gateway to the Hereafter.

Hazrat Ibn Masood (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Truth leads to piety and piety leads to Jannah. A man persists in speaking the truth till he is enrolled with Allah as a truthful. Falsehood leads to vice and vice leads to the Fire (Hell), and a person persists on telling lies until he is enrolled as a liar".'  [Muslim Book 32, Chapter 26, Hadith # 6306].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 58. And not equal are the blind and those who see, nor are (equal) those who believe Siddiq (veracious) and Kadhdhab (liar) both are adjectives of intensive degree. That is to say, the words stand respectively for someone whose truth has become his second nature; and in the opposite case, one is a liar who is in the habit of telling lies. As one acquires a reputation in this world for his good or bad deeds similar is his position before Allah. One who is ranked among the truthful with Him is entitled to reward, and if one is a liar, he has to suffer retribution for it. This Hadith provides incentive for truthfulness because it is a source of every good deed and contains a warning against lying as it gives rise to all kinds of mischief.

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]: Ayat 057

Ayat 57. The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind, yet most of mankind know not.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 57. Assuredly the creation of the heavens and the earth is a greater (matter) than the creation of men: Yet most men understand not. The heavens and the earth include mankind and all other creatures and millions of stars. Man is himself but a tiny part of creation. Why should he be so egocentric? The whole is greater than a tiny part of it. And Allah Who created the whole of the Worlds is able to do much more wonderful things than can enter the imagination of man. Why should man be arrogant and doubt the Resurrection, and take upon himself to doubt the possibility of Allah's Revelation? It is only because he has made himself blind.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported I heard The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) saying, "Man follows his friend's religion, you should be careful who you take for friends". [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 4833 and Abu Dawud Hadith # 2378].

Lesson: This Hadith also induces one to avoid the company of impious people and seek the association of the pious persons.

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]d: Ayat 056

Ayat 56. Verily, those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, without any authority having come to them, there is nothing else in their breasts except pride [to accept you (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) as a Messenger of Allah and to obey you]. They will never have it (i.e. Prophethood which Allah has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge in Allah (from the arrogant). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 56. Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them, there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah. It is He Who hears and sees (all things). The Disputes are actuated by nothing but the desire for self-glory and self-aggrandizement. Their desire is not likely to receive fruition, but others should take warning from it.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "Seek refuge in Allah against the turmoil’s, attacks of misfortunes, and evil of judgment and joys of the enemies.'' [Al-Bukhari Book 8, Chapter 75, Hadith # 358 and Muslim]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 56 “seek refuge in Allah (from the arrogant). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer” The trouble of a trial which is unbearable for a person and from which he does not have the power to rid himself is called (juhd al-bala'), translated here as turmoil’s. Some people are of the opinion that it is synonymous with poverty combined with abundant children. But Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar is of the view that it is only one of the several kinds of "Troubles of a Trial.'' "Ash-Shaqa' is the opposite of good fortune, that is, to pray for protection from misfortune. No Decision of Allah is wrong but some of His Decisions may be harmful for certain people while others are beneficial for them. This means that their goodness or badness is related to persons. What it signifies is that one should pray to Allah to keep one safe from such decisions which are harmful for him. "Shamatat'' the pleasure that one's enemy feels on one's trouble. In other words, it is prayed that Allah may protect one from any such trouble which is pleasing to one's enemy, because when a person is in trouble; his enemies feel pleasure over it. In this Hadith, one sentence was added by Abu Sufyan and during his old age he did not remember which one it was. But we learn from other Ahadith that it was "the pleasure of enemies''. (Ibn Allan). This Hadith also shows the honesty and integrity of the narrators of Ahadith. They were honest to the extent that if a few words of supplication were added to a Hadith by its narrators, they would point it out. Some scholars have regarded these words an addition in the Hadith by its narrator, who is otherwise reliable, but it is not a problem of "addition of authority'' because in that case, the addition is the saying of the Prophet (PBUH) which is mentioned by one narrator and omitted by another. But here it is quite different as the narrator of the Hadith himself is pointing out the addition made by him. Such additional words are technically called "Mudraj''

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]: Ayat 055

Ayat 55. So be patient (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), Verily, the Promise of Allah is true, and ask forgiveness for your fault, and glorify the praises of your Lord in the Ashi (i.e. the time period after the midnoon till sunset) and in the Ibkar (i.e. the time period from early morning or sunrise till before midnoon) [it is said that, that means the five compulsory congregational Salat (prayers) or the 'Asr and Fajr prayers].

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) 55. Patiently, then, persevere: for the Promise of Allah is true: and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning. The Israelites corrupted or lost their Book: they disobeyed Allah's Law; and failed to proclaim and exemplify Allah's Message. That is why the new Revelation came to the Prophet. If, in the beginning, it was rejected and persecuted, there was no cause for discouragement; on the contrary, there was all the greater need for patience and perseverance. Every mortal according to his nature and degree of spiritual enlightenment falls short of the perfect standard of Allah (16:61), and should therefore ask Allah for forgiveness. What is merit in an ordinary man may be a human shortcoming in one nearest to Allah: see 38:24-25. Prophets have a further responsibility for their People or their Ummah, and they ask in a representative capacity. Cf. 3:41 . Evening and morning are the best times for contemplation and spiritual effort. But the phrase "evening and morning" may mean "at all times".
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  reported I heard : The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) saying: "By Allah, I seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day.''  [Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 319]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat. 55. “And ask forgiveness for your fault, and glorify the praises of your Lord” 1. It is an inducement for seeking pardon and forgiveness. The Prophet [SAWW](PBUH), whose past and future sins were forgiven, asked Allah's forgiveness - then how about us, who commit sins on regular basis, not to seek pardon and forgiveness from Allah?
2. Sincere and ceaseless prayer for pardon is essential so that sins committed by us unintentionally are also forgiven. The above Hadith lays great emphasis on seeking pardon.

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]: Ayat 053-054

Ayat 53. And, indeed Allah gave Musa PBUH (Moses) the guidance, and caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture [i.e. the Taurat (Torah)],
Ayat 54. A guide and a reminder for men of understanding.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) Ayat 53. We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance, and We gave the book in inheritance to the Children of Israel, Moses was given a Revelation, and it was given in heritage to the Children of Israel, to preserve it, guide their conduct by, and hold aloft its Message; but they failed in all these particulars. Ayat 54. A Guide and a Message to men of Understanding.
Hazrat Zaid bin Labidh (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW]((PBUH) mention about very dangerous thing and said, "There will be time (in future) where knowledge of Deen (Islamic Teachings) will be vanished.'' Hazrat Zaid (May Allah be pleased with him) further asked, O' Messenger of Allah [SAWW]((PBUH) how come the knowledge of Deen (Islamic Teachings)will be vanished we are reciting Quran and also teaching our children (descendants) and they are teaching their children (descendants), in reply The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW]((PBUH) said " O'Zaid I think of you as most intelligent person of Madinah, you do not notice the Jews and Christian are reciting (Scripture) the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) Holy Bible (the Holy Books), but do they follow the teaching in it ? ". [Ibn Majah].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 54. “A guide and a reminder for men of understanding” also mention in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 66. And if only they had acted according to the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Qur'an), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet. This Hadith serves a stern warning for those who do not follow the Divine injunctions and do not discharge their duty towards Allah. such follower of Islam who just recite Quran but do not intent to follow its message and teaching, It is regrettable indeed that present-day Muslims do not follow this the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet image001.jpg[S.A.W.W](PBUH) and instead observe the baseless practices, also 'Ulama', preachers and reformers of the Ummah whose own conduct is contrary to the sermons they give from the pulpit. This Hadith confirms that all Prophets of Allah were men and thus refutes those who attribute divinity to them and exclude them from the category of men or regard them a part of Allah, as Christians believes Prophet Isa (PBUH) (Jesus to be Christ) by regarding him Allah or His son, or the Jews do Prophet `Uzair (PBUH) by venerating him as son of Allah.

[40].Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) also known as Surah Ghafir [The Forgiver]: Ayat 051-052

Ayat 51. Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection),
Ayat 52. The Day when their excuses will be of no profit to Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah). Theirs will be the curse, and theirs will be the evil abode (i.e. painful torment in Hell-fire).

Tafseer of Surah Al Mumin (The Believer) Ayat 51. We will, without doubt, help our messengers and those who believe, (both) in this world´s life and on the Day when the Witnesses will stand forth, The Day of Judgment is described as "the Day when Witnesses will stand forth". This description implies two things: (1) that there man will be judged justly; his past actions and his faculties and opportunities will be witnesses as to the use he made of them (24:24); intact he will himself be a witness against himself (6:130); and the prophets and just men will bear witness to the fact that they preached and warned men (39:69; 2:133). Ayat 52. The Day when no profit will it be to Wrong-doers to present their excuses, but they will (only) have the Curse and the Home of Misery. After the testimony mentioned in the last note, there will be no room for excuses, and if any were made, they could serve no purpose, unlike the state of matters in this world, where there is much make-believe, and Falsehood often masquerades as Truth and is accepted as such even by those who should know better.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I can still recall as if I am seeing the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) resembling one of the Prophets whose people scourged him and shed his blood, while he wiped blood from his face, he said: "O Allah! Forgive my people, because they certainly do not know".  [Al-Bukhari 09, Chapter 84, Hadith # 63].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Mumin Ayat 52. The Day when their excuses will be of no profit to Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers” It mentions the refined character and compassion of the Prophets which has an important lesson for those who preach righteousness. They should be always prepared to face hardships involved in inviting people to the right path and, instead of retaliation, forgive their audience and pray for their guidance. These noble qualities are extremely important for those who are devoted to preach religion.
