[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]: Ayat 025

Ayat 25. And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, their argument is no other than that they say: "Bring back our (dead) fathers, if you are truthful!"

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 25. And when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them their argument is nothing but this: They say, "Bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" Cf. 44:36. It is no argument to say, "If there is a future life, bring back our forefathers and let us see them here and now!" It is not for a man to raise the dead when and where he pleases. It is for Allah to command. And His promise is about the general Resurrection for the Day of Judgment. In His hands are the keys of life and death.

Hazrat Zaid bin Labidh (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) mention about very dangerous thing and said, "There will be time (in future) where knowledge of Deen (Islamic Teachings) will be vanished.'' Hazrat Zaid (May Allah be pleased with him) further asked, O' Messenger of Allah image001.jpg  [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H)  how come the knowledge of Deen (Islamic Teachings)will be vanished we are reciting Quran and also teaching our children (descendants) and they are teaching their children (descendants), in reply The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) said " O'Zaid I think of you as most intelligent person of Madinah, you do not notice the Jews and Christian are reciting (Scripture) the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) Holy Bible (the Holy Books), but do they follow the teaching in it ? ".
[Ibn Majah].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 25. And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, their argument is no otheralso mention in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 66. And if only they had acted according to the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Qur'an), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet. This Hadith serves a stern warning for those who do not follow the Divine injunctions and do not discharge their duty towards Allah. such follower of Islam who just recite Quran but do not intent to follow its message and teaching, It is regrettable indeed that present-day Muslims do not follow this the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet image001.jpg [S.A.W.W](PBUH) and instead observe the baseless practices, also 'Ulama', preachers and reformers of the Ummah whose own conduct is contrary to the sermons they give from the pulpit. This Hadith confirms that all Prophets of Allah were men and thus refutes those who attribute divinity to them and exclude them from the category of men or regard them a part of Allah, as Christians believes Prophet Isa (PBUH) (Jesus to be Christ) by regarding him Allah or His son, or the Jews do Prophet `Uzair (PBUH) by venerating him as son of Allah.

[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]: Ayat 024

Ayat 24. And they say: "There is nothing but our life of this world, we die and we live and nothing destroys us except Ad-Dahr (the time). And they have no knowledge of it, they only conjecture.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 24. And they say: "What is there but our life in this world? We shall die and we live, and nothing but time can destroy us." But of that they have no knowledge: they merely conjecture: Cf. 23:37. The additional touch here, "And nothing but Time can destroy us", suggests the materialist philosophy that Matter and Time are eternal backwards and forwards; and possibly also that though each individual perishes, the race lasts till Time destroys it. This is not knowledge but conjecture. Why not accept light from Him Who knows all.

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "O Allah! To You I have submitted, and in You do I believe, and in You I put my trust, to You do I turn, and for You I argued. O Allah, I seek refuge with You through Your Power; there is none worthy of worship except You Alone; that You safeguard me against going astray. You are the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists; the One Who never dies, whereas human beings and jinn will all die".  [Muslim Book 35, Chapter 17, Hadith # 6561]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 24 “And they have no knowledge of it, they only conjectureEven in the worst circumstances one should always have faith and trust in Allah, Allah (SWT) says "I am just as My slave thinks of Me when he remembers Me". Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servants than anything else. This Hadith highlights the merits of expecting good treatment of Allah. But this has to be backed by good actions, in the same way as one can hope for good results after ploughing and sowing seeds. It is obvious that one who accomplishes good deeds will expect good consequences, and one who does evil deeds will expect evil consequences. Allah will treat people according to their expectation that are founded on their actions, and the reward will match their deeds.

[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]: Ayat 023

Ayat 23. Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember?

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 23. Then see the one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn Guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition?  If a man follows, not the laws of Allah, which are also the laws of his own pure nature as made by Allah, but the desires of his own distorted self, as shaped by the rebellion of his will, the inevitable consequence will be the withdrawal of Allah's grace and guidance. All his faculties will then be debased, and there will be nothing to guide him, unless he turns in repentance again to Allah. Cf. 2:7.
Hazrat Usamah bin Zaid (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and will be cast into Hell, and his intestines will pour forth and he will go round them as a donkey goes round a millstone. The inmates of Hell will gather round him and say: `What has happened to you, O so-and-so? Were you not enjoining us to do good and forbidding us to do evil?' He will reply: `I was enjoining you to do good, but was not doing it myself; and I was forbidding you to do evil, but was doing it myself".
[Al-Bukhari Book 04, Chapter 54, Hadith # 489].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 23. Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray," This Hadith serves a stern warning for such `Ulama', preachers so called scholars and reformers of the Ummah whose own conduct is contrary to the sermons they give from the pulpit.

[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]:Ayat 022

Ayat 22. And Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth, in order that each person may be recompensed what he has earned, and they will not be wronged.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 22. Allah created the heavens and the earth for just ends, and in order that each soul may find the recompense of what it has earned, and none of them be wronged. Cf. 44:38-39. The government of the world is so ordered that each soul gets every chance for its full development, and it reaps the fruit of all its activities. If it breaks away from Allah's Grace, it suffers, but no injustice is done to anyone: on the contrary Allah's Bounty is always beyond man's deserts.

Hazrat Ibn Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said to me: "Recite the Qur'an to me". I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Shall I recite the Qur'an to you, when it has been revealed to you?'' He image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) replied, "I love to hear it recited by others". So I recited to him a portion from Surat An-Nisa'. When I reached the Ayah: "How (will it be) then, when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) as a witness against these people?". (4:41) He image001.jpg  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Enough for now". When I looked at him I saw his eyes were shedding tears.
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 106].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 22. “in order that each person may be recompensed what he has earned This Hadith tells us that besides the recitation of the Noble Qur'an, a Muslim should also listen to it from others so that he can contemplate further on it. It also makes one weep when one listens to the Noble Qur'an.

[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]: Ayat 021

Ayat 21. Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, in their present life and after their death? Worst is the judgment that they make.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 21. What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds, - that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make. Three meanings can be deduced. (1) The evil ones are not in Allah's sight like the righteous ones; neither in life nor in death are they equal; in life the righteous are guided by Allah and receive His Grace, and after death His Mercy, while the others reject His Grace, and after death receive condemnation. (2) Neither are the two the same in this life and in the afterlife; if the wicked flourish here, they will be condemned in the Hereafter; if the good are in suffering or sorrow here, they will receive comfort and consolation in the Hereafter; (3) The real life of the righteous—for they have received spiritual life—is not like the nominal life of the wicked, which is really death; nor is the physical death of the righteous, which will bring them into eternal life, like the terrible death of the wicked which will bring them to eternal misery.

Hazrat Irbad bin Sariyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: One day Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) delivered us a very eloquent Khutbah on account of which eyes shed tears and hearts were full of tears. A man said: "O Prophet of Allah, this is as if it were a parting advice. So advise us". He image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "I admonish you to fear Allah, to listen and obey even if an Abyssinian slave is appointed as your leader. Because whosoever among you shall live after me, will see much discord. So hold fast to my Sunnah and the examples of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs who will come after me. Adhere to them and hold to it fast. Beware of new things (in Deen) because every Bid’ah is a misguidance". [Abu Dawud Hadith # 4607 and At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2676].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 21. “Worst is the judgment that they makeThis Hadith stresses piety, obedience to the leader, following in the footsteps of the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and the first four noble caliphs. It strictly forbids innovation in Deen. This Hadith also reveals the prediction of the Prophet (PBUH) that the Muslim Ummah will become a victim of dissension. He also prescribed the right means to counteract it. The remedy that he has proposed for this problem is that Muslims should never deviate from the path laid for them by him and his righteous successors. This is the touchstone for discovering the truth from the mess of different views. All the troubles of Muslims would come to an end if they accept this as the one singular criterion of right and wrong.

[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]: Ayat 020

Ayat 20. This (Qur’an) is a clear insight and evidence for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy for people who have Faith with certainty.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 20. These are clear evidences to men and a Guidance and Mercy to those of assured Faith. The evidences of Allah's Signs should be clear to all men: to men of Faith, who accept Allah's Grace, they are a Guide and a Mercy.

Hazrat Usman bin Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D16364.45C9D670[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The best amongst you is the one who learn the Qur'an and teach it.''  [Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 61, Hadith # 545].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 20. This (Qur’an) is a clear insight and evidence for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy for people who have Faith with certainty" This Hadith tells us excellence of people who learn Quran and then spend their time teaching to others. Only such people will be elevated who act upon the teachings of the Qur'an and abstain from what is forbidden by Allah. The Muslims of the early centuries of Islam were blessed with great honor by Allah because they loved and applied the Qur'an. Because of their meaningful attachment with the Qur'an, they made great achievements in religious and worldly spheres. Those who neglected the teachings of Quran & Islam will be disgraced and humiliated. May Allah guide and enable us to re-establish our contact with the Qur'an so that we can regain our past glory.

[45]. Surah Al-Jathiyah [The Kneeling]: Ayat 019

Ayat 19. Verily, they can avail you nothing against Allah (if He wants to punish you). Verily, the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) are Auliya' (protectors, helpers, etc.) to one another, but Allah is the Wali (Helper, Protector, etc.) of the Muttaqun (pious).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 19. They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah. it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous. That is, in thy service of Allah. Ignorant and contentious men are of no use or service to any Cause. The more you seek their help, the more do their ignorance and their contentiousness increase their own importance in their own eyes. Evil protects (or thinks it protects) evil: it has really no power of protection at all, for itself or for others. The righteous seek the protection of Allah, Who can and will protect them.
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Keep only a believer for a companion and let only a pious eat your food". [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2395 and Abu Dawud, Hadith # 4832].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Jathiyah Ayat 19. “Allah is the Wali (Helper, Protector, etc.) of the Muttaqun (pious)" This Hadith forbids Muslims from befriending infidels and stresses that they should establish a bond of friendship and fraternity with the pious persons only. The above Hadith signifies that taking believers for company has good consequences on the Muslim. While feeding only pious people compels the Muslim host to provide only Halal or lawful foodstuff for his household as well as his guests.
