[15].Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract]: Ayat 13-15

Ayat 13. They would not believe in it (the Quran), and already the example of (Allah's punishment of) the ancients (who disbelieved) has gone forth.
Ayat 14. And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto,
Ayat 15. They would surely say: "Our eyes have been (as if) dazzled. Nay, we are a people bewitched."

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who acquires a branch of the knowledge of astrology, learns a branch of magic (of which he acquires more as long as) he continues to do so.''
[Abu Dawud Hadith # 3905].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hjir Ayat 13. "already the example of (Allah's punishment of) the ancients (who disbelieved) has gone forth" In this Hadith, astrology has been regarded a part of magic. In Islam the learning of magic has been held equivalent to infidelity. Thus, it is evident that in Islam, astrology and soothsaying are highly dangerous, and learning them is a great sin. Astrology here stands for that pseudo-science on the basis of which future events are predicted with reference to the movements of stars. There is another science called astronomy by means of which timings of sunrise and sunset are calculated. This branch of science, however, is a genuine science because it is based on experiment and observation.

[15].Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract]: Ayat 11-12

Ayat 11. And never came a Messenger to them but they did mock him.
Ayat 12. Thus do We let it (polytheism and disbelief) enter into the hearts of the Mujrimun [criminals, polytheists, pagans, etc. (because of their mockery at the Messengers)].

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) used to supplicate: "O Allah! To You I have submitted, and in You do I believe, and in You I put my trust, to You do I turn, and for You I argued. O Allah, I seek refuge with You through Your Power; there is none worthy of worship except You Alone; that You safeguard me against going astray. You are the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists; the One Who never dies, whereas human beings and jinn will all die".  [Muslim Book.35, Chapter 17, Hadith # 6561].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hjir Ayat 11. "And never came a Messenger to them but they did mock him" This Hadith mentions the importance of Dua and faith in Allah, inducement for having trust in Him and the distinction of people who have these qualities.

[15].Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract] : Ayat 9-10

Ayat 9. Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption) .
Ayat 10. Indeed, We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad  [SAWW](PBUH) amongst the sects (communities) of old.

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who does not memorize any part from the Qur'an he is like the ruined house.''
[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2913].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hjir Ayat 09. "We Who have sent down the Dhikr (the Quran) and surely, We will guard it" This Hadith means that the heart of that Muslim is devoid of grace of spiritualism and Grace of Allah who does not remember by heart any portion of the Qur'an, in the same way as a deserted house is deprived of inhabitants and Blessings of Allah. What we learn from this is that every Muslim must remember some portion of the Qur'an so that he is safe from the admonition mentioned in this Hadith.

[15].Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract]: Ayat 7-8

Ayat 7. (and those people who disobey say) "Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful ones?"
Ayat 8. We send not the angels down except with the truth (i.e. for torment, etc.), and in that case, they (the disbelievers) would have no respite!

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "There will be no land which will not be trampled by Dajjal (the Antichrist) but Makkah and Al-Madinah; and there will be no passage leading to them which will not be guarded by the angels, arranged in rows. Dajjal will appear in a barren place adjacent to Al-Madinah and the city will be shaken three times. Allah will expel from it every disbeliever and hypocrite.'' [Muslim Book 41, Chapter 22, Hadith # 7032].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hjir Ayat 08. "We send not the angels down except with the truth" In this narration we find the evil description of a Dajjal and his power of destructing the world expect Makkah and Medina which will be guarded by angels sent by specially by Allah (SWT) to protect the Harmain.

[15].Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract]: Ayat 5-6

Ayat 5. No nation can anticipate or outstrip its term of destruction, nor can delay it.
Ayat 6. And they say to whom the Dhikr (the Quran) has been sent down! Verily, you are a mad man.

Hazrat Abu Musa Al-Ashari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH)  said, "When Allah intends to show mercy to a people, He collects their Prophet before them and makes him a herald to happiness for them in the Hereafter; and when He intends to destroy a people, He punishes them while their Prophet is alive, and destroys them while he is alive and watches them and makes him witness their destruction because they disbelieved in him and disobeyed his commands".

[Muslim Book.30, Chapter 08, Hadith # 5679].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hjir Ayat 05. "No nation can anticipate or outstrip its term of destruction" This Hadith tells us about a Divine law in respect of Prophets, which is meant to deter people from opposing the Prophet (PBUH) and commands us to follow his footsteps, so that we can benefit from his intercession on the Day of Resurrection.
