[20].Surah Taha [Tâ-Hâ]: Ayat 102-104

Ayat 102. The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces).
Ayat 103. In whispers will they speak to each other (saying): "You stayed not longer than ten (days)."
Ayat 104. We know very well what they will say, when the best among them in knowledge and wisdom will say: "You stayed no longer than a day!"
[Tafseer] The Day when the Trumpet will be sounded: that Day, We shall gather the sinful, blear-eyed (with terror). Zurqa = having eyes different from normal colour, which in the East is black and white: having blue eyes, or eyes afflicted with dimness or blindness, or squint; hence metaphorically, blear-eyed (with terror). In whispers will they consult each other: "Yet tarried not longer than ten (Days); Faced with eternity, they will realise that their life on this earth, or the interval between their sin and their punishment, had a duration which practically amounted to nothing. They express this by the phrase "ten days", but their wiser heads think that even this is an over-estimate. It was but a brief day! We know best what they will say, when their leader most eminent in conduct will say: "Ye tarried not longer than a day!"  Note that it is the shrewdest and most versed in Life who will say this, because they will be the first to see the true situation.
Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Mankind will stand before Allah, the Rubb of the worlds (on the Day of Resurrection), some of them will stand submerged in perspiration up to half of their ears".
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 460].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Taha Ayat 102."that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun" This Hadith gives us a glimpse of the horrible scene of the Resurrection when people will stand in awe before Allah.

[20].Surah Taha [Tâ-Hâ]: Ayat 98-101

Ayat 98. Your Ilah (God) is only Allah, the One (Lâ ilaha illa Huwa) (none has the right to be worshipped but He). He has full knowledge of all things.
Ayat 99. Thus We relate to you (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH) some information of what happened before. And indeed We have given you from Us a Reminder (this Qur'an).
Ayat 100. Whoever turns away from it (this Qur'an i.e. does not believe in it, nor acts on its orders), verily, they will bear a heavy burden (of sins) on the Day of Resurrection,
Ayat 101. They will abide in that (state in the Fire of Hell), and evil indeed will it be that load for them on the Day of Resurrection;
[Tafseer] (Your God is only Allah, than Whom there is no other God) He has no children or partners. (He embraceth all things in His knowledge) He knows all things. (Thus relate Who unto thee) in this way we sent you, O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH), Gabriel with (some tidings of that which happened of old) with the events of past nations, (and We have given thee from Our presence a Reminder) We have honoured you with the Qur'an which contains the events of past and future generations. (Whoso turneth away from it) whoever disbelieves in it, (he verily will bear a burden) idolatry (on the Day of Resurrection) (Abiding under it) abiding in the punishment for committing idolatry, (an evil burden for them on the Day of Resurrection) their sins are an evil burden for them on the Day of Resurrection, But the god of you all is the One Allah. there is no god but He: all things He comprehends in His knowledge. Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence. Thus superseding previous revelations; for this (the Qur'an) is direct from Allah, and is not a secondhand exposition on other men's authority. If any do turn away therefrom, verily they will bear a burden on the Day of judgment; If people are so immersed in the evanescent falsehoods of this life to turn away from the True and the Eternal, they will have a rude awakening when the Judgement comes. These very things that they thought so enjoyable here— taking advantage of others, material self-indulgence, nursing grievances instead of doing good, etc., etc.—will he a grievous burden to them that day, which they will not be able to escape or lighten.
Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When one of you supplicates, let him be decisive and he should not say: `O Allah, bestow upon me such and such if You wish', because no one has the power to compel Him.''
[Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 350]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Taha Ayat 98."He has full knowledge of all things" One should pray to Allah will full confidence that He will answer his prayers. One should also persist in praying and never give in to despair.

[20].Surah Taha [Tâ-Hâ]: Ayat 95-97

Ayat 95. [Mûsa (Moses)] said: "And what is the matter with you. O Samiri? (i.e. why did you do so?)"
Ayat 96. (Samiri) said: "I saw what they saw not, so I took a handful (of dust) from the hoof print of the messenger [Jibrael's (Gabriel) horse] and threw it [into the fire in which were put the ornaments of the Firaun's (Pharaoh) people, or into the calf]. Thus my inner-self suggested to me."
Ayat 97. Mûsa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e.you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your illah (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea."
[Tafseer] (Moses) said: "What then is thy case, O Samiri?" Moses now turns to the Samiri, and the Samiri's reply in the next verse sums up his character in a few wonderful strokes of character-painting. The lesson of the whole of this episode is the fall of a human soul that nominally comes to Allah's Truth in a humble position but makes mischief when and as it finds occasion. It is no less dangerous and culpable than the arrogant soul, typified by pharaoh, which gets into high places and makes its leadership the cause of ruin of a whole nation. He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful (of dust) from the footprint of the Messenger angel Gabriel, and threw it (into the calf): thus did my soul suggest to me." This answer of the Samiri is a fine example of unblushing effrontery, careful evasion of issues, and invented falsehoods. He takes upon himself to pretend that he had far more insight than anybody else: he saw what the vulgar crowd did not see. He saw something supernatural. "The Messenger" is construed by many Commentators to mean the angel Gabriel. Rasul (plural, rusul) is used in several places for "angels" e.g., in 11:69, 77; 19:19; and 35:1. But if we take it to mean the Messenger Moses, it means that the Samiri saw something sacred or supernatural in his footprints: perhaps he thinks a little flattery would make Moses forgive him. The dust became sacred, and his throwing it into the calfs image made the calf utter a lowing sound! As if that was the point at issue! He does not answer the charge of making an image for worship. But finally, with arrogant effrontery, he says, "Well, that is what my soul suggested to me, and that should be enough!"  (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say,´touch me not´; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!" He and his kind were to become social lepers, untouchables; perhaps also sufficiently arrogant to hold others at arm's length, and say "Noli me tangere" (touch me not). Namely, the promised Wrath of Allah. The cast effigy was re-melted and destroyed.
Hazrat Safiyyah, daughter of Abu Ubaid, on the authority of some of the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) who said : The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who goes to one who claims to tell about matters of the Unseen and believes in him, his Salat (prayers) will not be accepted for forty days.''
[Muslim Book 26, Chapter 33, Hadith # 5540]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Taha Ayat 97.""Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life" We learn from this Hadith that visiting soothsayers and astrologers for the purpose of knowing from them what lies hidden in future is such a great offense that he who does it, loses all merits of his forty days Salat. Some people try to detect the culprits involved in a theft case through the so-called fortunetellers or seek their advice in matters relating to business, marriage etc. All such things are unlawful because Allah Alone knows the invisible world.

[20].Surah Taha [Tâ-Hâ]: Ayat 92-94

Ayat 92. [Mûsa (Moses)] said: "O Harun (Aaron)! What stopped you when you saw them going astray;
Ayat 93. "That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?"
Ayat 94. He [Harun (Aaron)] said: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard, nor by my head! Verily, I feared lest you should say: 'You have caused a division among the Children of Israel, and you have not respected my word!' "
[Tafseer] "From following me? Didst thou then disobey my order?"  Moses, when he came back, was full of anger and grief. His speech to Aaron is one of rebuke, and he was also inclined to handle him roughly: see next verse. The order he refers to is that stated in Surah Aaraf 7: Ayat 142. "Act for me amongst my people: do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." (Aaron) replied: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard nor by (the hair of) my head! Truly I feared lest thou should say, ´Thou has caused a division among the children of Israel, and thou didst not respect my word!´" This reply of Aaron's is in no way inconsistent with the reply as noted in 7:150. On the contrary, there is a dramatic aptness in the different points emphasized on each occasion, and Aaron rightly says: "The people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slay me!" In adding, "Let not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune" he is referring by implication to his brother's wish to maintain unity among the people. Here the unity is the chief point to emphasize: we are dealing with the Samiri as mischief-monger, and he could best be dealt with by Moses, who proceeds to do so.
Hazrat Saeed Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith".
[Muslim Book 01,Chapter 21, Hadith # 80]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Taha Ayat 92."What stopped you when you saw them going astray" This Hadith contains a very important prescription to prevent the Muslim society from all things which are forbidden in Islam. So long as Muslims adhered to it and ceaselessly and fearlessly performed their obligation of enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong, their society was largely safe from many evils and sins.
