Ayat 102. The Day when the
Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the
Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of
Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces).
Ayat 103.
In whispers will they speak to each other (saying): "You stayed not longer
than ten (days)."
Ayat 104.
We know very well what they will say, when the best among them in knowledge
and wisdom will say: "You stayed no longer than a day!"
[Tafseer]
The Day when the Trumpet will
be sounded: that Day, We shall gather the sinful, blear-eyed (with
terror). Zurqa = having eyes different from normal colour, which in the East
is black and white: having blue eyes, or eyes afflicted with dimness or
blindness, or squint; hence metaphorically, blear-eyed (with
terror). In
whispers will they consult each other: "Yet tarried not longer than ten
(Days); Faced with eternity, they will realise that their life on
this earth, or the interval between their sin and their punishment, had a
duration which practically amounted to nothing. They express this by the phrase
"ten days", but their wiser heads think that even this is an over-estimate. It
was but a brief day! We know best what they will say, when their leader most
eminent in conduct will say: "Ye tarried not longer than a day!"
Note that it is the shrewdest and most versed in
Life who will say this, because they will be the first to see the true
situation.
Hazrat Ibn
Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Mankind will stand before Allah, the Rubb of the worlds (on the
Day of Resurrection), some of them will stand submerged in perspiration up to
half of their
ears".
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith #
460].
Lesson : as
mentioned above in Surah Taha Ayat 102."that Day, We shall
gather the Mujrimun" This Hadith gives us
a glimpse of the horrible scene of the Resurrection when people will stand in
awe before
Allah.
