[13].Surah Ibrahim {A.S} [Abraham (PBUH)]: Ayat 1

Ayat 1. Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you (O Muhammad  [SAWW](PBUH) in order that you might lead mankind out of darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of belief in the Oneness of Allah and Islamic Monotheism) by their Lord's Leave to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Owner of all Praise. 

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Any matter of importance which is not begun with Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) remains defective.'' [Abu Dawud Hadith # 4840]. 

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ibrahim {A.S} Ayat 01. "the Owner of all Praise." There is another Hadith to the effect that every important work which is not started with the invocation "Bismillah'' is devoid of Allah's Grace, it is desirable to begin every good work with the Glorious Name of Allah and His Praise.
