[17].Surah Al-Isra' [The Journey By Night] :Ayat 39

also known as Surah Bani Israel [The Children of Israel]

Ayat 39. This is (part) of Al-Hikmah (wisdom, good manners and high character, etc.) which your Lord has inspired to you (O Muhammad [SAWW](PBUH). And set not up with Allah any other ilâh (god) lest (and one who does) should be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected, (from Allah's Mercy). 

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I can still recall as if I am seeing the Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) resembling one of the Prophets whose people scourged him and shed his blood, while he wiped blood from his face, he said: "O Allah! Forgive my people, because they certainly do not know".
