[37].Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks) : Ayat 151-157

১৫১. জেনো, তারা মনগড়া উক্তি করে যে,

১৫২. আল্লাহ সন্তান জন্ম দিয়েছেন। নিশ্চয় তারা মিথ্যাবাদী।

১৫৩. তিনি কি পুত্র-সন্তানের স্থলে কন্যা-সন্তান পছন্দ করেছেন?

১৫৪. তোমাদের কি হল? তোমাদের এ কেমন সিন্ধান্ত?

১৫৫. তোমরা কি অনুধাবন কর না?

১৫৬. না কি তোমাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট কোন দলীল রয়েছে?

১৫৭. তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে তোমাদের কিতাব আন।

Ayat 151. Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say:

Ayat 152. "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars!

Ayat 153. Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons?

Ayat 154. What is the matter with you? How do you decide?

Ayat 155. Will you not then remember?

Ayat 156. Or is there for you a plain authority?

Ayat 157. Then bring your Book if you are truthful!

Tafseer of Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks) Ayat 151 to 157. Is it not that they say, from their own invention, Ayat 152. "(Allah) has begotten children"? but they are liars! Any attribution to Allah of ideas derogatory to His Oneness and His supreme height above all creatures is likely to degrade our own conception of Allah's Universal Plan, and is condemned in the strongest terms. Ayat 153. Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? There is the strongest irony in this passage. Ayat 154. What is the matter with you? How judge ye? Ayat 155. Will ye not then receive admonition? Ayat 156. Or have ye an authority manifest? Ayat 157. Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful!

Hazrat Ibn Masood (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Truth leads to piety and piety leads to Jannah. A man persists in speaking the truth till he is enrolled with Allah as a truthful. Falsehood leads to vice and vice leads to the Fire (Hell), and a person persists on telling lies until he is enrolled as a liar".' [Muslim Book 32, Chapter 26, Hadith # 6306].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah As-Saffat Ayat 151. Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans)” Siddiq (veracious) and Kadhdhab (liar) both are adjectives of intensive degree. That is to say, the words stand respectively for someone whose truth has become his second nature; and in the opposite case, one is a liar who is in the habit of telling lies. As one acquires a reputation in this world for his good or bad deeds similar is his position before Allah. One who is ranked among the truthful with Him is entitled to reward, and if one is a liar, he has to suffer retribution for it. This Hadith provides incentive for truthfulness because it is a source of every good deed and contains a warning against lying as it gives rise to all kinds of mischief.
