Ayat 1. Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the
miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
These are the Verses of the Clear
Book (the Qur'an that makes clear the legal and illegal things, legal laws, a
guidance and a blessing).
Ayat 2.
Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an in order that you may
understand.
Hazrat Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of
Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold
reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam
is a letter and Mim is a letter.''

Lesson
: as mentioned above in Surah Yusuf Ayat 1.
"Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the
Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]." This Hadith urges us to recite the Qur'an and also mentions
the great reward for reciting
