Ayat 9. "Kill Yusuf (Joseph) or cast him out to some
(other) land, so that the favour of your father may be given to you alone, and
after that you will be righteous folk (by intending repentance before committing
the sin)."
Ayat
10. One from among them said: "Kill not
Yusuf (Joseph), but if you must do something, throw him down to the bottom of a
well, he will be picked up by some caravan of
travelers."
Hazrat Ibn Masud (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The first matter concerning which people
will be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be the matter of blood (unjust
murder).''

Lesson
: as mentioned above in Surah Yusuf Ayat 9.
"Kill Yusuf (Joseph) or cast him out to some (other) land," In another Hadith, it has been stated that on
the Day of Judgment, the first thing about which people will be questioned will
be As-Salat (the five daily prayers). There is no contradiction in the two
narrations. Among the duties of Allah, the first thing to be reckoned would be
As-Salat; while among the mutual right of humans, the first thing to be decided
would be murder. From this narration the value of human life becomes very
significant.
