[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 33

৩৩. মূসা বলল, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমি তাদের এক ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করেছি। কাজেই আমি ভয় করছি যে, তারা আমাকে হত্যা করবে।

Ayat 33. He (Musa PBUH) said: "My Lord! I have killed a man among them, and I fear that they will kill me.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 33. He said: "O my Lord! I have slain a man among them, and I fear lest they slay me. It is not that Moses is not reassured from all fear on account of the apparent snake which his rod had become, or from the sacred and unfamiliar surroundings in which he found himself. On this point his heart had been completely assured. But he is still new to his mission, and the future is obscure to his mind. Pharaoh was after him, to take his life, and apparently with good cause, because one of Pharaoh's men had been slain at his hands. And now he is commanded to go to Pharaoh and rebuke him and his Chiefs. The inner doubts and difficulties of his human mind he frankly lays before his Lord, and asks for a little human and visible support, which is granted him at once, viz.: the help of his brother Aaron.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abu Aufa (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: On one occasion the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) was confronting the enemy. He waited until the sun had declined. Then he stood up to address the people and said, "O people! Do not wish for an encounter with the enemy. Pray to Allah to grant you safety; (but) when you encounter them, show patience, and know that Jannah is under the shades of the swords.'' Then he image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said: "Allahumma munzilal-kitab, wa mujriyas-sahab, wa hazimal-Ahzab, ihzimhum wansurna alaihim (O Allah, Revealer of the Book, Disperser of the clouds, Defeater of the Confederates, put our enemy to rout and support us against them).''  [Al-Bukhari Book 04, Chapter 52, Hadith # 210]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 33 “and I fear that they will kill me” From this Hadith we learn that it is better to start war in the afternoon because this was the practice of the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH). The desire for war is prohibited, but when war becomes inevitable, one should not show his back to the enemy; rather, one should fight to the best of his ability and be steadfast in it.  Along with steadfastness and patience in fighting, one should also pray for victory because all powers lie with Allah and no one can gain victory without His Will. The Hadith also mentions a supplication which one should make when he encounters the enemy.
