[28].Surah Al-Qasas [The Narration]: Ayat 60

Ayat 60. And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment, and that (Hereafter) which is with Allah is better and will remain forever. Have you then no sense?

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qasas (The Narration) Ayat 60. The (material) things which ye are given are but the conveniences of this life and the glitter thereof; but that which is with Allah is better and more enduring: will ye not then be wise?  The good things in this life have their uses and serve their convenience. But they are fleeting and their value is infinitely lower than that of Truth and Justice and Spiritual Well-being, the gifts which come as it were from the very Presence of Allah. No wise soul will be absorbed in the one and neglect the other, or will hesitate for a moment if it comes to a choice between them.

Hazrat Al-Mustuarad bin Shaddad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "This world (i.e., its pleasures and duration) in comparison with the Hereafter is (similar to the amount of water) one gets when he puts his finger in the sea. Let him then see what it returns with".
[Muslim Book 40, Chapter 14, Hadith # 6843].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qasas Ayat 60. “Whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this) world and its adornment” This Hadith shows the value of the Hereafter and its blessings compared to the worldly life. The proportion between the two is that the former is like an ocean while the latter is like the proportion of water left on one's finger when dipped in the sea!
