[29].Surah Al-Ankabut [The Spider]: Ayat 39

৩৯. আমি কারুন, ফেরাউন ও হামানকে ধ্বংস করেছি। মূসা তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনাবলী নিয়ে আগমন করেছিল অতঃপর তারা দেশে দম্ভ করেছিল। কিন্তু তারা জিতে যায়নি।

Ayat 39. And (We destroyed also) Qaroon (Korah), Firaun (Pharaoh), and Haman. And indeed Mussa PBUH (Moses) came to them with clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us (escape Our punishment).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Ankabut (The Spider) Ayat 39. (Remember also) Qaroon, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach For Qaroon you can see Surah 28: Ayat 76-82; Pharaoh is mentioned frequently in the Qur'an, but he is mentioned in association with Haman in 28:6; for their blasphemous arrogance and defiance of Allah see Surah 28: Ayat 38. They thought such a lot of themselves, but they came to an evil end.

Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah 

 [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The best type of Jihad (striving in the way of Allah) is speaking a true word in the presence of a tyrant ruler.''  [Abu Dawud Hadith # 4344 and At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2174].

 

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al- Ankabut Ayat 39. “indeed Mussa PBUH (Moses) came to them with clear Ayat” Jihad has many degrees. Preaching of virtue is also Jihad. The most meritorious of all is the effort of communicating the Message of Allah to an unjust ruler. Similarly, if a society is so much given to a vice that no one can dare to utter a word against it, then to protest against it can also be reckoned as the best Jihad.
