[39].Surah Al-Zumar [The Groups]: Ayat 38

Ayat 38. And verily, if you (O Muhammed image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" Surely, they will say: "Allah (has created them)." Say: "Tell me then, the things that you invoke besides Allah, if Allah intended some harm for me, could they remove His harm, or if He (Allah) intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His Mercy?" Say: "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must put their trust."

Tafseer of Surah Al Zumar Ayat 38. If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "(Allah)". Say: "See you then? The things that ye invoke besides Allah, - can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty? - Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust." Cf. 29:61; also n. 2927 to 23:85. Most worshippers of false gods are neither atheists nor sceptics. They admit the existence of Allah as an abstract proposition, but it has not come into their hearts and souls: it has not been translated into their lives. They run after false worship on account of ancestral custom or on account of their thoughtlessness or false environment, or on account of their own selfish desires or limited outlook. To them is addressed the argument: 'Ultimately your false gods can do nothing for you: why not turn to the One True God, on Whom you depend, and Who can give you Grace and Mercy, Justice and Punishment?' Cf. 33:17. Cf. 12:67, and 14:12. Allah alone is He Who will and can discharge any trust put in Him. All other things will fail. Therefore those who put their trust in anything should put their trust in Allah.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said "When (Prophet) Ibrahim PBUH (Abraham) was thrown into the fire, he said: "Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and, He is the Best Disposer of affairs.'' So did Messenger of Allah Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) when he was told: "A great army of the pagans had gathered against him, so fear them". But this (warning) only increased him and the Muslims in Faith and they said: "Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)".
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 086]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Zumar Ayat 38 “Say: "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must put their trust” Even in the worst circumstances one should always have faith and trust in Allah.
