Ayat
43. And he had no group of
men to help him against Allah, nor could he defend or save himself.
Ayat
44. There (on the Day of
Resurrection), Al-Walayah (the protection, power, authority and kingdom)
will be for Allah (Alone), the True God. He (Allah) is the Best for reward and
the Best for the final end. (Lâ ilaha ill-Allah none has the right to be
worshipped but Allah).
[Tafseer] (And his fruit was beset (with destruction)) his garden was
destroyed; or, according to another reading: his wealth was destroyed.
(Then began he to wring his hands) out of regret (for all that he had spent upon
it) upon the garden; it is also said that this means: upon all the fruits it
contained, (when (now) it was all ruined on its trellises, and to say) on the
Day of Judgment: (Would that I had ascribed no partner to my Lord!) would that I
had ascribed no idols to my Lord! (And he had no troop of men to help him as
against Allah) i.e. against Allah's punishment, (nor could he save himself) from
Allah's punishment. (In this case is protection only from Allah) i.e. on the Day
of Judgment, dominion and sovereignty belong only to Allah, (the True) the Just.
(He is best for reward) He is the best of those who reward, (and best for
consequence) and the One who gives the best outcome.
Hazrat Abdullah bin
`Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with them) reported that: The
Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah accepts a slave's repentance
as long as the latter is not on his death bed (that is, before the soul of the
dying person reaches the throat)".
[At-Tirmidhi Hadith #
3537].
Lesson : as
mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 42. "he could only say:
"Would I had ascribed no partners to my Lord!" The word Ghargharah means the stage when soul is about to leave the body
and reaches the throat. In other words, the time when one suffers the agony of
death.
