[37].Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks): Ayat 19-21

Ayat 19. It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring!
Ayat 20. They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!"
Ayat 21. (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgment which you used to deny."

Tafseer of Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks) Ayat 19 to 21. Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! Cf. 36:29, 49, and 53. Their spiritual blindness will then leave them. But they will be surprised at the suddenness of their disillusion. Ayat 20.They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" Ayat 21. (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" The Day of Judgment is the day of sorting out. Cf. 36:59. Good and evil will finally be separated, unlike the apparently inexplicable conditions in the present probationary life, when they seem to be mixed together.

Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "How can I feel at ease when the Angel of the Trumpet, (Israfil) has put his lips to the Trumpet and is waiting for the order to blow it". He image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) perceived as if this had shocked his Companions, so he image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) told them to seek comfort through reciting: `Hasbunallah WA ni`mal-Wakil [Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)]". [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2431]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah As-Saffat Ayat 19. It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! "
1. This Hadith tells us about the fear of Allah and the fright of the hereafter entertained by theProphet image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) and his Companions. It has a lesson for us that how, in spite of being innocent and having the assurance of the forgiveness of Allah, they were always fearful of Allah and the horrors of the Day of Resurrection. As against them, we are immersed in sins, neglect and violate the Divine injunctions day and night but even then we have neither the fear of Allah nor the fright of the Day of Resurrection.
2. In the event of fear and anxiety one should seek the help of Allah and frequently recite the Verse of the Noble Qur'an "Hasbunallahu WA Ni`mal Wakil'' [Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).]'' (3:173).
