১১২. আমি তাকে সুসংবাদ দিয়েছি ইসহাকের, সে সৎকর্মীদের মধ্য থেকে একজন নবী।
১১৩. তাকে এবং ইসহাককে আমি বরকত দান করেছি। তাদের বংশধরদের মধ্যে কতক সৎকর্মী এবং কতক নিজেদের উপর স্পষ্ট জুলুমকারী।
Ayat 113. Allah blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves.
Tafseer of Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks) Ayat 112. And Allah gave him the good news of Isaac PBUH a prophet, one of the Righteous. Isaac was Abraham's second son, born of Sarah, when Abraham PBUH was 100 years of age. He was also blessed and became the ancestor of the Jewish people. Ayat 113. Allah blessed him and Isaac PBUH: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. So long as the Children of Israel upheld the righteous banner of Allah, they enjoyed Allah's blessing and their history is a portion of sacred history. When they fell from grace, they did not stop Allah's Plan: they injured their own souls.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH)! Who is the most honorable amongst mankind?'' He 
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The most honorable of them is one who is the most pious of them.'' They said, "We are not asking about this". He said, "Then, the most honorable of men was Yusuf [PBUH] (Joseph), the Prophet of Allah, the son of Allah's Prophet, who was the son of the Prophet of Allah, who was the son of the Khalil of Allah (i.e., Ibrahim (PBUH))' They said, "We are not asking you about this.'' He enquired, "Are you then asking me about the classes of the Arabs? The best of them in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance are the best of them in Islam, provided they comprehend the religious knowledge". [Al-Bukhari Book 05, Chapter 55, Hadith # 572]
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah As-Saffat Ayat 112. And Allah gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous.” We come to know from this Hadith that the families which enjoyed popularity and prestige for their eminent qualities (like generosity, chivalry, honesty, etc.) in the pre-Islamic period were also credited for these values after their acceptance of Islam. But now their respect was qualified with their religious knowledge and practice. Their capabilities, self-respect and other qualities were turned towards a different direction. These qualities which were previously used for paganism were now devoted for Islam.
