[37].Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks): Ayat 11-15

১১. আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করা কঠিনতর, না আমি অন্য যা সৃষ্টি করেছি? আমিই তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি এঁটেল মাটি থেকে।

১২. বরং আপনি বিস্ময় বোধ করেন আর তারা বিদ্রুপ করে।

১৩. যখন তাদেরকে বোঝানো হয়, তখন তারা বোঝে না।

১৪. তারা যখন কোন নিদর্শন দেখে তখন বিদ্রূপ করে।

১৫. এবং বলে, কিছুই নয়, এযে স্পষ্ট যাদু।

Ayat 11. Then ask them: "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom Allah have created?" Verily, He created them of a sticky clay.

Ayat 12. Nay, you wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Qur’an).

Ayat 13. And when they are reminded, they pay no attention.

Ayat 14. And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it.

Ayat 15. And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic!

Tafseer of Surah As-Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks) Ayat 11 to 15. Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings Allah have created? Them have Allah created out of a sticky clay!  Their, "they" are the doubters, the evil ones, the deniers of Allah's grace and mercy, who laugh at Revelation and disbelieve in a Hereafter. Are they more important or more difficult to create than the wonderful variety of beings in Allah's spacious Creation? Do they forget their own lowly state, as having been created from muddy clay? Cf. 6:2; 7:12 ; 32:7; etc. Ayat 12. Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, It is indeed strange that unregenerate man should forget, on the one hand, his lowly origin, and on the other hand, his high Destiny, as conferred upon him by the grace and mercy of Allah. The indictment of him here comprises four counts: (1) they ridicule the teaching of Truth; (2) instead of profiting by admonition, they pay no heed; (3) when Allah's Signs are brought home to them, they ridicule them as much as they ridiculed the teaching of Truth: and (4) when they have to acknowledge incontestable facts, they give them false names like "sorcery", which imply fraud or something which has no relation to their life, although the facts touch the inner springs of their life intimately (Cf. 46:7). Ayat 13. And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- Ayat 14. And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, Ayat 15. And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery!

Hazrat Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Angels were created from light, jinns were created from a smokeless flame of fire, and `Adam was created from that which you have been told (i.e., sounding clay like the clay of pottery).''

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah As-Saffat Ayat 11, Verily, He created them of a sticky clay”The angels are the creation of Allah which He created from light. Their bodies are so subtle that they can assume any form they like. The jinn are also an imperceptible creation of Allah. They have also been bestowed with such powers as are not possessed by humans. Satan also belongs to the jinn. Man has been created from sounding clay. The Hadith states the Great and the Perfect Powers of Allah that He can create whatever He likes from whatever He likes, and He can do whatever He wishes.
