[54] Surah Al-Qamar [The Moon]: Ayat 053-055

Ayat 53. And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfouz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Qur’an V.57:22).
Ayat 54. Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise).
Ayat 55. In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Qamar (The Moon) Ayat 53 to 55. Every matter, small and great, is on record. 54. As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, The record, in the case of those who dishonored and violated Truth, will lead to their undoing; but in the case of those who honored the Truth and adopted it so as to shine in their righteous lives, the result is expressed by four metaphors, in an ascending degree of sublimity: (1) they will be in the midst of Gardens where rivers flow; (2) they will be in an Assembly of Truth; (3) in the Presence of Allah; (4) Whose sovereignty is omnipotent. "Gardens " with Rivers (flowing beneath): this has been explained more than once already: Cf. 43:70. The Garden suggests all the Bliss we can imagine through our senses. 55. In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. While we possess our bodily senses, the best conceptions we can form are through our sense-perceptions, and the Garden is a good symbol from that point of view. The next higher understanding of spiritual truth is through our intellect and social satisfaction. This is best symbolized by the Assembly of Truth—the gathering in which we sit with our fellows and enjoy the realization of Truth and the dissipation of falsehoods and half-truths. But there is a higher conception still, something so intensely spiritual that it can only be expressed by reference to the Presence of Allah. Muqtadir, which is translated Omnipotent, implies something more: the eighth-declension form denotes not only complete mastery, but the further idea that the mastery arises form Allah's own nature, and depends on nothing else whatever. (R).

Hazrat Hudhaifah Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: that they heard The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D2025D.4871B030[SAWW](PBUH) saying, "Allah will assemble mankind, and the believers will stand till Jannah will be brought near them. They will then go to Adam (PBUH) and say, `O our father, ask (Allah (SWT), that Jannah may be opened for us, but he will reply: `There was nothing that put you out of Jannah except your father's sin. I am not the one to do that, go to my son Ibrahim (Abraham), the beloved man of Allah.' Then Ibrahim (PBUH) when approached, will say: `I am not the one to do that, for I was only a friend; and that is not a lofty status but ask Musa (Moses) to whom Allah spoke.' They will then go to Musa (PBUH) but he will say: `I am not the one to do that; go to `Isa (Jesus), Allah's Word and spirit.' `Isa (PBUH) will say: `I am not the one to do that.' So they will come to me; and I will stand and be given permission. Amanah and ties of relationship will be sent forth and will stand on the sides of the Sirat (that is, the Bridge set over Hell-fire) right and left, and the first of you will pass like lightning.'' I said (that is Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him)" :I ransom you with my father and mother, what is like the movement of lightning?'' The Messenger of Allah replied, "Have you not seen how the lightning goes and returns in the twinkling of an eye? Next (group will pass) like the passing of the breeze, next like the passing of a bird, and the next with the speed of a running man, according to the quality of their deeds. (During all this time) your Prophet (PBUH) will remain standing on the Bridge saying: `O my Rubb, keep (them) safe, keep (them) safe,' till men's deeds are so weak that a man comes who will be able only to crawl. On both sides of the Bridge pronged flesh hooks, placed under command will be hung and will seize those about whom they receive command, some people being lacerated and escaping and others being thrown violently into Hell.'' Abu Hurairah (RA) added: By Him in Whose Hand Abu Hurairah’ s soul is, the pit of Jahannam (Hell) is seventy years in depth.  [Muslim Book 01,Chapter 83, Hadith # 380]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Qamar Ayat 54. Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise)" This Hadith mentions the horrors of the Day of Resurrection which are evident from the fact that even Prophets will be fearful of Allah and making supplication to Him. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) alone will be requesting Allah for bestowing His Mercy on humans. This Hadith also describes the grace of the Prophet (PBUH) who will then intercede for all.
