[55] Surah Ar-Rahman [The Most Gracious]: Ayat 046-049

Ayat 46. But for him who [the true believer of Islamic Monotheism who performs all the duties ordained by Allah and His Messenger Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), and keeps away (abstain) from all kinds of sin and evil deeds prohibited in Islam and] fears the standing before his Lord, there will be two Gardens (i.e. in Paradise).
Ayat 47. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
Ayat 48. With spreading branches;
Ayat 49. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Tafseer of Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 46 to 49. But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens. The reference to the Punishment of Sin having been dismissed in a few short lines, we now come to a description of the state of the Blessed. (R). Here two Gardens are mentioned, and indeed four, counting the other two mentioned in 55:62-76. Opinions are divided about this, but the best opinion is that the two mentioned in verses 46-61 are for the degree of those Nearest to Allah (Muqarrabun), and those in verses 62-76 for the Companions of the Right Hand: Why two for each ? The Duality is to express variety, and the whole scheme of the Surah runs in twos. There will be no dullness of uniformity: as our minds can conceive it now, there will be freshness in change, but it will be from Bliss to Bliss, and there will be Unity. 47. Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 48. Containing all kinds (of trees and delights); 49. Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

Hazrat Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The best supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul-Istighfar) is to say: `Allahumma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana `abduka, wa ana `ala `ahdika wa wa`dika mastata'tu, A’udhu bika min sharri ma sanatu, abu'u laka bini`matika `alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta. (O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favors that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).' He who supplicates in these terms during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening), he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah; and if anyone supplicates in these terms during the night with firm belief in it and dies before the morning, he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah.'' [Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 318].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Ar-Rahman Ayat 46. But for him who [the true believer of Islamic Monotheism who performs all the duties ordained by Allah" This Hadith tells us about the etiquette of praying to Allah and while seeking forgiveness. This Dua is very comprehensive and therefore called best (King) of Istighfar (Syed-ul-Istighfar).
