[17].Surah Al-Isra' [The Journey By Night]: Ayat 105

 also known as Surah Bani Israel [The Children of Israel]

 

Ayat 105. And with truth We have sent it down (i.e. the Qur'an), and with truth it has descended. And We have sent you (O Muhammad  [SAWW](PBUH) as nothing but a bearer of glad tidings (of Paradise, for those who follow your Message of Islamic Monotheism), and a warner (of Hell-fire for those who refuse to follow your Message of Islamic Monotheism). 
[Tafseer] The Qur'an was sent down by Allah in Truth: it was not forged by any mortal. It has descended in Truth: it was not falsified or corrupted in the process of being communicated to mankind. The part of the Prophet was that of a Messenger: he was not responsible if the ungodly rejected it. He fulfilled his mission in promulgating and explaining it and leaving it as a legacy to the world.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to study the Qur'an, tranquillity will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those (the angels) in His proximity.''  [Muslim Book 35, Chapter 11, Hadith # 6518].
 

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Isra Ayat 105. "And with truth We have sent it down (i.e. the Qur'an)" The meaning of the Hadith is that they teach one another by discussing the Quranic sciences, and knowledge the Qur'an contains. This meaning is correct because both these acts are auspicious and are means of gaining the Pleasure of Allah. This Hadith, however, does not tell us in any way that this group of people recite the Qur'an all at once. This is Bid`ah for this was not the practice of the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH).
