[17].Surah Al-Isra' [The Journey By Night]: Ayat 108-109

also known as Surah Bani Israel [The Children of Israel]

Ayat 108. And they say: "Glory be to our Lord! Truly, the Promise of our Lord must be fulfilled."
Ayat 109. And they fall down on their faces weeping and it adds to their humility.
[Tafseer] Those who had received previous revelations find in the Qur'an and in the Messenger who brought it, the promise of Allah fulfilled. Those who were spiritually prepared for it found in the same way the satisfaction of their spiritual yearnings: to them, also, Allah's promise was sent to be fulfilled. A feeling of earnest humility comes to the man who realizes how, in spite of his own unworthiness, he is brought, by Allah's Mercy, into touch with the most sublime Truths. Such a man is touched with the deepest emotion, which finds its outlet in tears.

Hazrat Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) saying, "Two eyes will never be touched by the fire of Hell; an eye which weeps out of Fear of Allah and an eye which spends the night in guarding in the Cause of Allah.'' [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 1639].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Isra Ayat 109. "they fall down on their faces weeping" This Hadith tells us about the eminence of the person who weeps out of Fear of Allah and also brings into prominence the distinction of the Mujahid who keeps a vigil during Jihad.
