৫১. আমি যদি এমন বায়ু প্রেরণ করি যার ফলে তারা শস্যকে হলদে হয়ে যেতে দেখে, তখন তো তারা অবশ্যই অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
Ayat 51. And if Allah send a wind [which would spoil the green growth (tilth) brought up by the previous rain], and they see (their tilth) turn yellow, behold, they then after their being glad, would become unthankful (to their Lord Allah as) disbelievers.
Tafseer of Surah Al Rum (The Romans) Ayat 51. And if Allah (but) send a Wind from which they see (their tilth) turn yellow,- behold, they become, thereafter, Ungrateful (Unbelievers)! Another Parable from the forces of nature. We saw how the Winds gladdened, vivified, and enriched those who utilized them in the right spirit. But a wind might be destructive to tilth in certain circumstances: so the blessings of Allah may—by the wrongdoers resisting and blaspheming—bring punishment to the wrongdoers. Instead of taking the punishment in the right spirit—in the spirit in which Believers of Allah take their misfortunes—the Unbelievers curse and deepen their sin!
Hazrat Abu Atiyyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Masruq and I visited `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) and said: "O Mother of the Believers! There are two Companions of Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) and neither of them holds back from doing good acts; but one of them hastens to break Saum (fasting) and hastens to perform the Maghreb prayer, while the other delays breaking Saum and delays performing Salat (prayer).'' She asked, "Who is the one who hastens to break Saum and perform the Maghreb prayer?'' Masruq said, "It is `Abdullah (meaning `Abdullah bin Masud).'' She said, "The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) used to do so.'' [Muslim Book 06, Chapter 09, Hadith # 2420].
Lesson : This Hadith points out the practice of the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) of breaking the Saum and performing the Maghreb prayer in the early moments of the prescribed time.
