Ayat 4. Giving
glad tidings [of Paradise to the one who believes in the Oneness of
Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) and fears Allah much (abstains from all
kinds of sins and evil deeds) and loves Allah much (performing all kinds
of good deeds which He has ordained)], and warning (of punishment in
the Hell Fire to the one who disbelieves in the Oneness of Allah), but
most of them turn away, so they listen not.
Tafseer of Surah Ha-Mim Al-Sajdah (or Surah Fussilat) Ayat 3 and 4. A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail;- a Qur´an in Arabic, for people who understand; Ayat 4. Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. With all the qualities mentioned in the last note, if men do not profit by its blessings, the fault lies in their will: they turn away, and thus fail to hear the voice that calls to them.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Verily,
Allah likes three things for you and disapproves three things for you.
He likes that you should worship Him Alone, not to associate anything
with Him (in worship) and to hold fast to the Rope of Allah (The Quran)
and not to be divided among yourselves; and He disapproves for you
irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and the squandering of the
wealth.''
[Muslim Book 018, Chapter 03, Hadith # 4255]."
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Ha-Mim_Al-Sajdah 3. A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Qur’an in Arabic for people who know" Besides stressing Tauhid, holding fast to the Rope of Allah the Quran and unity (which are greatly liked by Allah), this Hadith forbids unnecessary debate, hair-splitting and extravagance as all the three are disliked by Allah. Wealth has a great importance in man's life since it is the very source of sustenance and basis of his livelihood, its wastage is akin to cutting the branch of the tree on which one is sitting.
