[21].Al-Anbiya [The Prophets]: Ayat 98-100

Ayat 98. Certainly! You (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! (Surely), you will enter it.
Ayat 99. Had these (idols, etc.) been âliha (gods), they would not have entered there (Hell), and all of them will abide therein.
Ayat 100. Therein breathing out with deep sighs and roaring will be their portion, and therein they will hear not.
[Tafseer] Verily ye, (unbelievers), and the (false) gods that ye worship besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! to it will ye (surely) come! If these had been gods, they would not have got there! but each one will abide therein. The ultimate proof of Truth and Falsehood will be that Truth will endure and come to its own, while Falsehood will be destroyed. And so the men who worshipped Truth will come to their own, while those who worshipped Falsehood will be in a Fire of Punishment they could scarcely have imagined before. In that state there will be nothing but regrets and sighs and groans, and these evil sounds will drown everything else, There, sobbing will be their lot, nor will they there hear (aught else).

Hazrat Usamah bin Zaid (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and will be cast into Hell, and his intestines will pour forth and he will go round them as a donkey goes round a millstone. The inmates of Hell will gather round him and say: `What has happened to you, O so-and-so? Were you not enjoining us to do good and forbidding us to do evil?' He will reply: `I was enjoining you to do good, but was not doing it myself; and I was forbidding you to do evil, but was doing it myself".
[Al-Bukhari Book 04, Chapter 54, Hadith # 489]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Anbiya Ayat 99."Had these (idols, etc.) been âliha (gods), they would not have entered there (Hell), and all of them will abide therein" This Hadith serves a stern warning for such `Ulama', preachers so called scholars and reformers of the Ummah whose own conduct is contrary to the sermons they give from the pulpit.
