[32]. Surah As-Sajdah [The Prostration]: Ayat 12

Ayat 12. And if you only could see when the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) shall hang their heads before their Lord (saying): "Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back (to the world), we will do righteous good deeds. Verily! We now believe with certainty."

Tafseer of Surah Al Sajdah (The Prostration) Ayat 12. If only thou couldst see when the guilty ones will bend low their heads before their Lord, (saying:) "Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard: Now then send us back (to the world): we will work righteousness: for we do indeed (now) believe." In life on the new plane, there will be no room for deception or self deception. The most hardened sinner will see the truth and the justice of the Day of Account. He will wish he could be sent back, but it will be too late. The world as we know it will have already passed away.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said,  Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A young Jewish boy who was in the service of the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) fell ill. The Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) went to visit him. He sat down by his head and said to him, "Embrace Islam.'' The little boy looked at his father who was sitting beside him. He said: "Obey Abul-Qasim (i.e., the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH)).'' So he embraced Islam and the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) stepped out saying, "Praise be to Allah Who has saved him from Hell-fire.''
[Muslim, Book 07, Chapter 70, Hadith # 561]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah As-Sajda Ayat 12. “send us back (to the world), we will do righteous good deeds. Verily! We now believe with certainty." Herein, the example of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) inspires us to visit even a sick disbeliever and invite him to accept Islam. Besides, the Hadith tells that the company of the virtuous does bear fruit and that we should continue to hope that the heart of a disbeliever will turn to Allah at any moment. Furthermore, we come to believe that parents, though not clinging to the right way, may tell their offspring to pursue the truth.
