[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 014

Ayat 14. (The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith); and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allah came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah."

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 14. (Those without) will call out, "Were we not with you?" (The others) will reply, "True! but ye led yourselves into temptation; ye looked forward (to our ruin); ye doubted ((Allah)´s Promise); and (your false) desires deceived you; until there issued the Command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah. The evil will now claim same right of kinship or association or proximity with the good in earthly life; but in fact they had been arrogant and had selfishly despised them before. The reply will be: (1) you yourselves chose temptation and evil; (2) when you had power in your earthly life, you hoped for ruin to the good, and perhaps plotted for it; (3) you were warned by prophets of Allah, but you doubted Allah's very existence and certainly His Mercy and Justice, and the Hereafter; (4) you followed your own lusts and neglected Reason and Truth; (5) you were given plenty of rope, but you followed your mad career, until Judgement came upon you, and now it is too late for repentance. The Arch-Deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah in many ways: for example, he made you oblivious of Allah's Mercy and loving-kindness; he made you reject His Grace; he made you think that Allah's Justice may not overtake you; etc.

Hazrat Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) said, "A wise man is the one who calls himself to account (and refrains from doing evil deeds) and does noble deeds to benefit him after death; and the foolish person is the one who subdues himself to his temptations and desires and seeks from Allah the fulfillment of his vain desires".
[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2459].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 14. “you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith); and you were deceived by false desires" This Hadith highlights the importance of the accountability of one's self. Mere desires which are not coupled with practical efforts are of no avail because Allah grants reward on good deeds and not on yearnings and desires which are not supported by noble actions.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 013

Ayat 13. On the Day when the hypocrites men and women will say to the believers: "Wait for us! Let us get something from your light!" It will be said: "Go back to your rear! Then seek a light!" So a wall will be put up between them, with a gate therein. Inside it will be mercy, and outside it will be torment."

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 13. One Day will the Hypocrites- men and women - say to the Believers: "Wait for us! Let us borrow (a Light) from your Light!" It will be said: "Turn ye back to your rear! then seek a Light (where ye can)!" So a wall will be put up betwixt them, with a gate therein. Within it will be Mercy throughout, and without it, all alongside, will be (Wrath and) Punishment! Watchful preparation in Life, and the light of Faith, which reflects the divine Light, are matters of personal Life, and cannot be borrowed from another. So, in Christ's parable of the Ten Virgins (Matt. 25:1-13), when the foolish ones had let their lamps go out for want of oil, they asked to borrow oil from the wise ones, but the wise ones answered and said, "Not so; but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves". The wall of Personality, or Record of Deeds, will divide the Good from the Evil. But the Gateway in it will show that communication will not be cut off. Evil must realize that Good-i.e., Mercy and Felicity-had been within its reach, and that the Wrath which envelops it is due to its own rejection of Mercy.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D22FAA.886E4700 [SAWW](PBUH) said, "There are two types of people who will be punished in Hell and whom I have not seen (as they are not born yet): men having (very long) whips like the tails of cows and they will be beating people with them, and, women who will be dressed but appear to be naked, inviting to evil; and they themselves will be inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camel inclined to one side (like hair style of collection hair on top of their head like Bactrian Camel). They will not enter Jannah and they will not smell its fragrance which is perceptible from such and such distance.''  [Muslim Hadith # 5310].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 13. On the Day when the hypocrites men and women will say to the believers: "Wait for us! Let us get something from your light! “This Hadith has the following three important points: 1. It has a warning for those who oppress people. Flogging in Hadd and Qisas does not come in the category of oppression because oppression in the real sense is perpetrated when whipping is done as a means of tyranny and cruelty. 2. It has a stern warning for those women who go about without wearing the Islamic-type veil and take to adornment to display their charms, which is the habit of immoral women. Such women also adorn their hair in different styles and lure men with their coquetry and amorous playfulness. They are shameless and also make others likewise, shameless. 3. This Hadith is one of the signs of the Prophethood of Muhammad cid:image004.gif@01D22FAA.886E4700 [SAWW](PBUH), the last of the Prophets of Allah, because the evils which he had prophesied in this Hadith have been fulfilled. Muslim women have adopted all these evils and shameless fashions without any fear of punishment in the Hereafter. May Allah relieve us from these evils.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 012

Ayat 12. On the Day you shall see the believing men and the believing women their light running forward before them and by their right hands. Glad tidings for you this Day! Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever! Truly, this is the great success!

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 12. One Day shalt thou see the believing men and the believing women- how their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands: (their greeting will be): "Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which flow rivers! to dwell therein for aye! This is indeed the highest Achievement!" In the Darkness of the Day of Judgement there will be a Light to guide the righteous to their Destination. This will be the Light of their Faith and their Good Works. Perhaps the Light of the Right Hand mentioned here is the Light of their Good Works: for the Blessed will receive their Record in their right hand (69:19-24). The highest Achievement, the highest felicity, the attainment of Salvation, the fulfillment of all desires. See 44:57.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "There are two blessings in which many people incur loss. (They are) health and free time (for doing good)".  [Al-Bukhari Volume 08, Chapter 76, Hadith # 421].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 12. On the Day you shall see the believing men and the believing women their light running forward before them”  1. Al-Ghabn in Arabic means loss. What it really signifies is to sell something of one's own on less than its due price, or to buy something on its double or triple price. In both cases one is a loser. When a person comes to know about such a loss, he repents and feels sorry for it. This loss coupled with regret is called Al-Ghabn. In Ahadith, man has been compared with trader, and health and leisure enjoyed by him with merchandise. One who uses his merchandise with care, gains profit while he who wastes it, that is to say, uses it carelessly, will be a loser on the Day of Resurrection.
2. The majority of people do not take proper care of both these things, with the result that one wastes the time in useless activities and spends the physical strength and energy in the disobedience of Allah. One will have to face severe consequences of it on the Day of Resurrection when he will be brought into account for everything.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 011

Ayat 11. Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan, then (Allah) will increase it manifold to his credit (in repaying), and he will have (besides) a good reward (i.e. Paradise).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 11. Who is he that will Loan to Allah a beautiful loan? for (Allah) will increase it manifold to his credit, and he will have (besides) a liberal Reward. Cf. 2:245. Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that gives (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return. Spending in the cause of Allah is called metaphorically "a beautiful loan". It is excellent in many ways: (1) it shows a beautiful spirit of self-denial; (2) in other loans there may be a doubt as to the safety of your capital or any return thereon; here you give to the Lord of All, in Whose hands are the keys of want or plenty; giving, you may have manifold blessings, and withholding, you may even lose what you have. If we remember that our goal is Allah, can we turn away from His cause?

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendants (pious son) who prays for him (for the deceased).''  [Muslim Book 13,Chapter 04, Hadith # 4005].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 11. Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan, "His deeds come to an end'' means that he does not any longer receive the return and reward on his actions. But there are three categories of actions on which he receives reward even after his death. First, Sadaqah Jariyah such as building a mosque, or a hospital, or digging a well. As long as people will benefit from these, he will receive a reward for them. Second, "knowledge which is beneficial'' means to impart knowledge to others or to propagate knowledge by means of one's books. As long as this medium of teaching will continue and his books will be studied and people will benefit from them, he will receive a reward for it. Third, virtuous descendants. Training of children on the right lines is essential so that after a person's death they continue to pray for him. The prayer of children in favour of parents is highly useful.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 010

Ayat 10. And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 10. And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah.- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. To Allah belongs the heritage of see 3:180; also 6:165; and 15:23. This is usually understood to refer to the Conquest of Makkah, after which the Muslims succeeded to the power and position which the Pagan Quraysh had so misused at Makkah. Thereafter the Muslims had the hegemony of Arabia, and in a few centuries, for a time, the hegemony of the world. But the words are perfectly general, and we must understand the general meaning also: that the people who fight and struggle in Allah's Cause and give of their best to it at any time are worthy of praise: but those are worthy of special distinction who do it when the Cause is being persecuted and in most need of assistance, before victory comes.

Hazrat Rifa`ah bin Rafi` Az-Zuraqi (May Allah be pleased with him) said: Jibril (Gabriel) came to the Prophet cid:image003.gif@01D22D60.DB2E2330[SAWW](PBUH) and asked him: "How do you estimate among you those who participated in the battle of Badar?'' He cid:image003.gif@01D22D60.DB2E2330[SAWW] replied, "They were the best of Muslims'' (or he may have said something similar to that). Jibril said: "The same is the case with the angels who were at Badar.'' [Al-Bukhari Hadith # 3992].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 10. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later)" The Hadith highlights the superiority of those Companions, as well those angels, who participated in the battle of Badar against the forces of Kufr. The Qur'an confirms the fact that the angels fought along with Muslims in this historic battle.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 009

Ayat 9. It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to His Prophet (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) that He may bring you out from darkness into light. And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid 9. He is the One Who sends to His Servant Manifest Signs, that He may lead you from the depths of Darkness into the Light and verily Allah is to you most kind and Merciful. The Prophet Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH). The Signs sent to him were: (1) The Ayahs of the Qur'an, and (2) his life and work, in which Allah's Plan and Purpose were unfolded.

Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) used to seek protection against the evil of jinn and the evil eyes till Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Naas were revealed. After they were revealed, he took to them for seeking Allah's protection and left everything besides them. [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2058].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 9. It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) Like men, jinn’s have also good and bad elements among them. Almighty Allah has endowed them with such power that if they want they can, with the Will of Allah, harm human beings. This is the reason mischievous jinn’s harm people. Similarly, influence of the evil eye is also true. What it means is that if a person looks at someone with greed and envy, the evil effects of his look will reach the person viewed, and because of that he has to suffer some loss or trouble or accident. For this reason, the Prophet (PBUH) would seek the protection of Allah against the jinn’s and the evil eye and pray in his own words for it, saying: "I seek Your protection against jinn’s and evil eyes of the people.'' After the revelation of the Surah Al-Falaq and An-Naas (last two Surah of the Quran) he started reciting them because these were revealed for this purpose. These Surah are also called "Al-Mu`awwidhatain'' which mean two Surah which provide protection. It is, therefore, very useful to seek the protection of Allah by reciting them.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 008

Ayat 8. And what is the matter with you that you believe not in Allah! While the Messenger (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) invites you to believe in your Lord (Allah), and He (Allah) has indeed taken your covenant, if you are real believers.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 9. He is the One Who sends to His Servant Manifest Signs, that He may lead you from the depths of Darkness into the Light and verily Allah is to you most kind and Merciful. The Prophet Muhammad. The Signs sent to him were: (1) The Ayahs of the Qur'an, and (2) his life and work, in which Allah's Plan and Purpose were unfolded.

Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Everyone who breaks a covenant will have a flag by his buttocks on the Day of Resurrection. It will be raised higher according to the nature of his breach. Behold, there will be no greater a sin with respect to breaking the covenant than that of a ruler who breaks his covenant with the Muslim masses.''  [Muslim Hadith # 4309]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 8. “He (Allah) has indeed taken your covenant, if you are real believersThis Hadith clearly shows that breach of covenant is forbidden in Islam, especially on the part of a ruler because (a) he is in a position to honour his covenant, and (b) his evil can affect the whole Muslim community. It was a custom in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance in Arabia to fix flags on poles for those who were guilty of breach of oath to humiliate and defame them. Almighty Allah has mentioned the punishment of flags on the Day of Resurrection for such people who break their covenant so that people can easily understand its nature. What a humiliation that will be! * Placing the flag by his bottom signifies humiliation and disgrace because flags are usually carried in front of the bearer not behind.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 007

Ayat 7. Believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend (in Allah’s Way), theirs will be a great reward.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 7. Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend (in charity) out of the (substance) whereof He has made you (5281) heirs. For, those of you who believe and spend (in charity),- for them is a great Reward. 5281 Whenever power or wealth or influence or any good thing is transferred from one person or group of persons to another, it involves added responsibilities to the persons receiving these advantages. They must be the more zealous in real charity and all good works, for that is a part of the evidence which they give of their faith and gratitude. And, besides, their good deeds, under the general law in the spiritual world, carry their own reward.

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Fight the polytheists with your wealth, lives and tongues.''
[Abu Dawud Hadith # 2504]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 7. Believe and spend (in Allah’s Way), theirs will be a great reward". This Hadith mentions three categories of Jihad, namely Jihad with wealth, Jihad with one's life and Jihad by speech. One should make Jihad as is warranted by the situation one is confronted with. That is, where a Muslim is required to sacrifice his life, he must sacrifice his life; where he is required to sacrifice his wealth, he should spend wealth; and where he is required to make Jihad by means of his speech, he should do it by speech. One should not hesitate to spend for the sake of Allah what is required by the situation.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 005-006

Ayat 5. His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And to Allah return all the matters (for decision).
Ayat 6. He merges night into day (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the night is added into the hours of the day), and merges day into night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day is added into the hours of the night), and He has full knowledge of whatsoever is in the breasts.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 5 and 6. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah. See 57:2 above, where this phrase referred to Allah's complete authority over the whole of the external universe: the same phrase now refers to His complete authority over the abstract world—of thoughts and affairs. Every affair must finally go back to Him, whether it comes out here from Darkness into Light, or hides itself from Light into Darkness. Allah's knowledge penetrates into the inmost recesses of all Hearts. 6. He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night; and He has full knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) as saying: "The worst of lies is to pretend to have seen something which he has not seen.''  [Al-Bukhari Book 09, Chapter 87, Hadith # 167].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 06. He has full knowledge of whatsoever is in the breasts” This Hadith strongly condemns falsehood, whether it relates to a dream or to the real world. It is a great sin in both cases.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 004

Ayat 4. He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) whosesoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 4. He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority), He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you whosesoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.  In six Days: see 41:9-12, and notes; also more briefly, 7:54. Cf. 10:3. It is not that Allah completed His Creation in six days and rested on the seventh day, or rests now. Certain external forms of the universe were by Allah's Command completed in six periods of evolution. But His creative process still goes on, and He is still, and will always be, in full control, knowing all and guiding all affairs. (R). 5279 Allah watches over man and observes his deeds. His knowledge comprehends all, the earth, heavens, what is in them or above them or whatever is in between them, comes out of them or goes into them, for "not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge", and "there is not a grain in the darkness for depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh of dry (green or withered), but is inscribed in a Record". (6:59).

Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "If a person says: `La ilaha illallahu wallahu Akbar (There is no true god except Allah and Allah is Greatest)', his Rubb responds to him and affirms: `(Yes!) There is no true god except I, and I am the Greatest.' When he says: `La ilaha illallahu Wahdahu la sharika Lahu (There is no true god except Allah, the One, He has no partner).' Allah (SWT) affirms: `(Yes!) There is no true god except I. I have no partner.' When he says: `La ilaha illallahu Lahul mulku wa Lahul-hamdu (the sovereignty belongs to Him and all the praise is due to Him).' He (SWT) affirms: `(Yes!) There is no true god except I, Mine is the praise and to Me belongs the sovereignty.' When he says: `La ilaha illallahu wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa Billah (There is no true god except Allah, and there is no might and power but with Allah).' He (SWT) affirms: `(Yes!) There is no true god except I, and there is no might and power but with Me.''' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) added, "He who recites this during his illness and dies, will not be touched by the Fire (Hell).''  [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 3430].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 04. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) whosesoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you doThere is always a great certainty that Allah will respond to a supplication which springs from a sincere, veracious heart. One should, therefore, pray for a patient with full conviction and reassurance of heart. Moreover, the Prophet's prayers have special effect and grace and therefore their original wordings should be uttered.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 003

Ayat 3. He is the First (nothing is before Him) and the Last (nothing is after Him), the Most High (nothing is above Him) and the Most Near (nothing is nearer than Him). And He is the All-Knower of everything.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid 3. He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Hidden: and He has full knowledge of all things. Allah is Evident insofar as there is ample evidence of His existence and providence all around us. On the other hand, Allah is Hidden insofar as intellect cannot grasp His essence nor can He be seen in the present world. The following tradition in Sahih Muslim is also significant for an understanding of this verse. The Prophet (peace be on him) said: "Thou art the First, so that there was nothing before Thee; and Thou art the Last, so that there is nothing after Thee; and Thou art Evident, (or Ascendant) so that there is nothing above Thee, and Thou art the Hidden, the Knower of hidden things, so that there is nothing hidden from Thee."

Narrated by Hazrat Safiyyah, daughter of Abu `Ubaid, (May Allah be pleased with them) reported on the authority of some of the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) who said : The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who goes to one who claims to tell about matters of the Unseen and believes in him, his Salat (prayers) will not be accepted for forty days.''  [Muslim Book 26, Chapter 33, Hadith # 5540].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 03. And He is the All-Knower of everything" We learn from this Hadith that visiting soothsayers and astrologers for the purpose of knowing from them what lies hidden in future is such a great offense that he who does it, loses all merits of his forty days Salat. Some people try to detect the culprits involved in a theft case through the so-called fortunetellers or seek their advice in matters relating to business, marriage etc. All such things are unlawful because Allah Alone knows the invisible world.

[57] Surah Al-Hadid [The Iron]: Ayat 001-002

Ayat 1. Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise.
Ayat 2. His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, It is He Who gives life and causes death; and He is Able to do all things.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid 1. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth,- let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. A connecting thought between this and the last Surah, of which see verse 96. See also paragraph 3 of the Introduction to S. 53. 2. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: It is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things.

Hazrat Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The similitude of one who remembers his Rubb and one who does not remember Him, is like that of the living and the dead.''
[Muslim Book 04, Chapter 121, Hadith # 1706]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 1. Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise" Lack of remembrance of Allah is akin to death. When a person dies, he is unable to do anything. Similarly, a person who does not remember Allah goes so far from Him that he cannot do anything which can benefit him.

[56] Surah Al-Waqi’ah [The Event]: Ayat 092-096

Ayat 92. But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism),
Ayat 93. Then for him is entertainment with boiling water.
Ayat 94. And burning in Hell-fire.
Ayat 95. Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty.
Ayat 96. So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqi’ah 92. And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, Cf. above 56:51 -55. 93. For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 94. And burning in Hell-Fire. 95. Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. "The assurance of the Hereafter" is one of the strongest features of Faith. For without it the apparent inequalities and injustices of this Life cannot be satisfactorily explained. 96. So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. Cf. 56:74 above. That was the conclusion of the argument about the Future from the examples of Allah's goodness in nature. Now we have the conclusion of the same argument from Allah's revelation through His inspired Messengers.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection)'.'' [Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 415].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Waqi’ah Ayat 96. So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great." This Hadith affirms that man's actions carry weight. On the Day of Judgment, his actions will be cast into the Balance. At that time Allah will endow these actions with weight, or according to some scholars, those records which register man's actions will be weighed. This is quite possible for the reason that Almighty Allah is Capable of weighing things without even their physical form. This discussion apart, when actions will be cast into the Balance, the formula mentioned in the Hadith, the utterance of which is very easy, will prove weighty. Every Muslim should make it a practice to repeat them frequently.

[56] Surah Al-Waqi’ah [The Event]: Ayat 088-091

৮৮. যদি সে নৈকট্যশীলদের একজন হয়;

Ayat 88. Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah),
Ayat 89. (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise).
Ayat 90.  And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand,
Ayat 91. Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqi’ah 88. Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, See above, 56:11-26 and notes. 89. (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. Rayhan: sweet-smelling plants, as in 55:12. Here used as symbolical of complete Satisfaction and Delight. 90. And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, See 56:27-38 and notes. 91. (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. In 56:26 above the salutation of "Peace, Peace!" is addressed to those Nearest to Allah. Here we learn that it is also addressed to the Companions of the Right Hand. Both are in Gardens of Bliss: only the former have a higher Dignity than the latter.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D22643.3A99D4B0[SAWW](PBUH) used to say: "Allahumma inni as'alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-`afafa wal-ghina (O Allah! I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity and self-sufficiency)".
[Muslim Book 37, Chapter 17, Hadith # 6566].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Waqi’ah Ayat 91. Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand." This Hadith contains four words, the meanings and implications of which constitute its essence. These words are guidance, piety (fear of Allah), chastity and sufficiency. Guidance here means guidance at every turn of life and steadfastness on the path of truth. Fear of Allah is the greatest means of piety and strongest defense against sins. Chastity is the state of being free from what is unlawful. Self-sufficiency is the antonym of poverty and here it means the self-contentment. What it implies is that one should not care for what people possess. In view of all these qualities, the prayer of the Prophet cid:image004.gif@01D22643.3A99D4B0[SAWW](PBUH) mentioned in this Hadith is very comprehensive and valuable.
