[56] Surah Al-Waqi’ah [The Event]: Ayat 034-037

Ayat 34. And on couches or thrones, raised high.
Ayat 35. Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation.
Ayat 36. And made them virgins.
Ayat 37. Loving (their husbands only), equal in age.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqi’ah 34 to 37. And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 35. We have created (their Companions) of special creation. The pronoun in Arabic is in the feminine gender, but lest grosser ideas should intrude, it is made clear that these Companions for heavenly society will be of special creation-of virginal purity, grace, and beauty inspiring and inspired by love, with the question of time and age eliminated. Thus every person among the Righteous will have the Bliss of Heaven and the Peace of Allah. 36. And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 37. Beloved (by nature), equal in age,-

Hazrat Umer bin Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) saying,  "If you all depend on Allah with due reliance, He would certainly give you provision as He gives it to birds who go forth hungry in the morning and return with full belly at dusk".  [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2344].

Lesson: Trust in Allah does not mean that one should not give any importance to material resources. What it really means is that along with their due importance, one should have full trust in Allah. Without His Will, material resources are of no avail. But nevertheless it is necessary to have material resources because their procurement is also ordained by Him. Birds do not keep sitting in their nests for food but fly out in search of it.
