[56] Surah Al-Waqi’ah [The Event] : Ayat 015-017

Ayat 15. (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones.
Ayat 16. Reclining thereon, face to face.
Ayat 17. They will be served by immortal boys.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqi’ah 15. (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), Cf. 15:47; 37:44, 52:20, and 88:13. 16. Reclining on them, facing each other. But they will not be separate each in his own corner. They will face each other. For they are all one, and their mutual society will be part of their Bliss. 17. Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), Cf. 52:24. The youth and freshness with which the attendants will serve is a symbol of true service such as we may expect in the spiritual world. That freshness will be perpetual and not subject to any moods, or chances, or changes.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: `I have prepared for my righteous slaves what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and the mind of no man has conceived.' If you wish, recite: `No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.''' (32:17)  [Al-Bukhari Vol. 6, Chapter 60, Hadith # 302].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Waqi’ah Ayat 15. (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones. About the gifts and pleasures of Jannah, here a Hadith has been stated in the Words of Allah. The subject matter is confirmed from the Verse of the Qur'an given in the text of the Hadith.
