৬৮. তোমরা যে পানি পান কর,
সে সম্পর্কে ভেবে দেখেছ কি?
৬৯. তোমরা তা মেঘ থেকে নামিয়ে আন,
না আমি বর্ষন করি?
৭০. আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাকে লোনা করে দিতে পারি,
অতঃপর তোমরা কেন কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর না?
Ayat 69. Is it you who cause it from the rainclouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down?
Ayat 70. If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)?
Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqi’ah Ayat 68 to 70. See ye the water which ye drink? 69. Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? 70. Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? The mystery of the two streams of water, one sweet and the other salt, constantly mingling, and yet always separate, is referred to more than once. The never-ending circuit is established by streams and rivers mingling with the ocean, the ocean sending forth mists and steam through a process of evaporation which forms clouds, and the clouds by condensation pouring forth rain to feed the streams and rivers again: see 55:19, and the further references given there.
Hazrat Abu Qatadah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH)
was asked about observing As-Saum (the fast) on the tenth day of
Muharram, and he replied, "It is expiation for the sins of the preceding
year.''
