[15].Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract]: Ayat 57-60

Ayat 57. [Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?"

Ayat 58. They (the angels) said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners).

Ayat 59. "(All) except the family of Lout (Lot). Them all we are surely going to save (from destruction).

Ayat 60. "Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)."

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with them) reported that: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah accepts a slave's repentance as long as the latter is not on his death bed (that is, before the soul of the dying person reaches the throat)".  [At-Tirmidhi, Hadith # 3537]. 

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hjir [The Rocky Tract] Ayat 59. "except the family of Lout (Lot). Them all we are surely going to save (from destruction). The word Ghargharah means the stage when soul is about to leave the body and reaches the throat. In other words, the time when one suffers the agony of death.
