[27].Surah Al-Naml [The Ants]: Ayat 32-33

Ayat 32. She (Queen of Saba) said: "O chiefs! Advise me in (this) case of mine. I decide no case till you are present with me."
Ayat 33. They said: "We have great strength, and great ability for war, but it is for you to command; so think over what you will command."

Tafseer of Surah Al Naml (The Ants) Ayat 32 & 33. She said: "Ye chiefs! advise me in (this) my affair: no affair have I decided except in your presence." They said: "We are endued with strength, and given to vehement war: but the command is with thee; so consider what thou wilt command."

Hazrat Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "A wise man is the one who calls himself to account (and refrains from doing evil deeds) and does noble deeds to benefit him after death; and the foolish person is the one who subdues himself to his temptations and desires and seeks from Allah the fulfillment of his vain desires".  [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2459]

Lesson : This Hadith highlights the importance of the accountability of one's self. Mere desires which are not coupled with practical efforts are of no avail because Allah grants reward on good deeds and not on yearnings and desires which are not supported by noble actions.
