Ayat 51. The only saying of the faithful believers,
when they are called to Allah (His Words, the Qur'an) and His Messenger ( SAWW(PBUH), to judge between them, is that they say: "We hear
and we obey." And such are the prosperous ones (who will live forever in
Paradise).
[Tafseer] of Ayat
51.
The
answer of the Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger, in order that
He may judge between them, is no other than this: they say, "We hear and we
obey": it is such as these that will attain felicity. Contrast
with it the attitude of the Unbelievers or Hypocrites, who say aloud, "we hear",
but intend in their hearts to disobey. True happiness, whether here or in the
Hereafter, is not to be attained by fraud
or duplicity: it is the privilege of those who listen attentively to good
counsel and carry it out in their
lives.
Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) enjoined the
payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every
Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be
paid before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms
approx.) [Al-Bukhari Volume 2, Book 25, Number
579]
