[24].Surah An-Nur [The Light]: Ayat 54

৫৪. বলুনঃ আল্লাহর আনুগত্য কর এবং রসূলের আনুগত্য কর। অতঃপর যদি তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নাও, তবে তার উপর ন্যস্ত দায়িত্বের জন্যে সে দায়ী এবং তোমাদের উপর ন্যস্ত দায়িত্বের জন্যে তোমরা দায়ী। তোমরা যদি তাঁর আনুগত্য কর, তবে সৎ পথ পাবে। রসূলের দায়িত্ব তো কেবল সুস্পষ্টরূপে পৌছে দেয়া।

Ayat 54. Say: "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, he (Messenger Muhammad  SAWW (PBUH) is only responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey Allah's Message) and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way)."

[Tafseer of Ayat 54. Say: "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger. but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message). 'If you disobey Allah's commands as explained by His Prophet, you are not going to be forced. The Prophet's mission is to train your will and explain clearly all the implications of your conduct. The responsibility for your conduct rests entirely on yourselves.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Everyone of my Ummah will enter Jannah except those who refuse". He was asked: "Who will refuse?'' He [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Whoever obeys me, shall enter Jannah, and whosoever disobeys me, refuses to (enter Jannah)".

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah An-Nur Ayat 54."Obey Allah and obey the Messenger" The word Ummah here stands for the community which accepted the invitation of the Prophet ( [SAWW](PBUH), that is to say, the people who on his call embraced Islam. Out of this community who follow him faithfully will go to Jannah.
