[25].Surah Al-Furqan [The Criterion]: Ayat 8-9

Ayat 8. "Or (why) has not a treasure been granted to him, or why has he not a garden whereof he may eat?" And the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: "You follow none but a man bewitched."
Ayat 9. See how they coin similitude's for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path.

[Tafseer] of Ayat 8. "Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched. "Literally, 'that he may eat out of it'. As shown in to surah 5: ayat 66, akala (to eat) has a comprehensive meaning, implying enjoyment of all kinds, physical, social, mental and moral, and spiritual. Here the garden itself stands for a type of the amenities of life: its fruits would be available for eating, its coolness for rest and refreshment, its waters and its landscape for aesthetic delight. Surah 17: Ayat 47. This speech, of the wicked or the ungodly, is meant to be even more bitter than that of the Misbelievers. It makes out the Teacher to be a demented fool. in Tafseer of Ayat 9. See what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! But they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find, The charges the enemies made against the Messenger of Allah recoiled on those who made them. The Messenger was vindicated, and went from strength to strength, for Allah's Truth will always prevail. The men who perversely leave the way of truth, righteousness, and sincerity, have not only missed the Way, but on account of their perversity they will never be able to find any way by which they can get back to Truth.

Hazrat Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah is Forbearer and He loves forbearance, and rewards for forbearance while He does not reward severity, and does not give for any thing besides it (forbearance).''  [Muslim Book 32, Chapter 21, Hadith # 6273]

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Furqan Ayat 08.And the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: "You follow none but a man bewitched." Mildness is the opposite of harshness. Allah enjoins softness and dislikes stiffness in human relations. Allah assures of reward for gentle behaviour in society, not for unkindness or anything like that. However, inflexibility is preferred to flexibility when there arises a question of religious matters and the limits set by Allah.
