[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 015

Ayat 15. Only those are the believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), and afterward doubt not but strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allah. Those! They are the truthful.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 15. Only those are Believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and have never since doubted, but have striven with their belongings and their persons in the Cause of Allah: Such are the sincere ones.

Hazrat Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah  [S.A.W.W](P.B.U.H) said, "One who withdraws his hand from obedience (to the Amir or Jammat) will find no argument (in his defense) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Resurrection; and one who dies without having sworn allegiance will die the death of one belonging to the Days of Ignorance.''
[Muslim Book 32, Chapter 08, Hadith # 6221].
Another narration in Sahih Muslim is: The Messenger of Allah [S.A.W.W](P.B.U.H) said, "He who dies having defected from obedience (to the Amir or Jammat) and discards his association with the main body of the (Muslim) community, dies the death of one belonging to the Days of Jahiliyyah.''

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 15. Only those are the believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), To do your duty for Allah as per Sunnah of His Messenger  [S.A.W.W](P.B.U.H) and strive hard in His Cause as much as you can to implement law describe by Allah (SWT) on one self, his or her home, family and then whole nation also as per Sunnah this cannot be done alone and one must abide join and follow Jammat of Pious Muslim who follow teaching of Quran and Sunnah as it should be also this Hadith crystallizes the parameters of the Muslim subjects' obedience to Allah his Messenger and true followers as their Ameer and Jammat. The honour of the latter is bound up with their surrender to the Command of Allah and His Messenger   [S.A.W.W](P.B.U.H). Otherwise, apart from the torment in the Hereafter, they will also be subjected to humiliation in this world, it is binding upon Muslims to show obedience to the Amir & Jammat and to join forces with the Muslim Community to give allegiance to him as long as he does not call to a sin. Also it is very clear from this Hadith that both the Amir or ruler and the ruled have their own respective obligations. If any of the two sides fails to play its due role, it will bear the brunt of its deficiency on the Final Day. Yet, people are debarred from disobeying a ruler who neglects to do what is required of him. Negligence is not rectifiable by negligence as it will make matters worse. To endure the high-handedness of a ruler in view of the overall national interest, is therefore, preferable to revolting against him. True, one cannot take the law into one's own hands, yet there always remains room for improvement and positive criticism. To make use of it within limits and to make efforts for the enforcement of the canonical discipline will not be deemed as an uprising. Indeed, this will be deemed, to some extent, binding on everybody.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]:Ayat 014

Ayat 14.  The Bedouins say: "We believe." Say: "You believe not but you only say, 'We have surrendered (in Islam),' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), He will not decrease anything in reward for your deeds. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 14. The desert Arabs say, "We believe." Say, "Ye have no faith; but ye (only) say, ´We have submitted our wills to Allah For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." The desert Arabs were somewhat shaky in their faith. Their hearts and minds were petty, and they thought of petty things, while Islam requires the complete submission of one's being to Allah. See next verse. Some of the failings of the desert Arabs are described in 48:11-15. But the reference here is said to be to the Banu Asad, who came to profess Islam in order to get charity during a famine. 'This is what ye ought to prove if your faith has any meaning, but ye only say it with your tongues.'

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) was speaking to us when, a Bedouin came and asked him: "When will the Last Day be?'' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) continued his talk. Some of those present thought that he had heard him but disliked the interruption and the other said that he had not hear him. When the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) concluded his speech he asked, "Where is the one who inquired about the Last Day?'' The man replied: "Here I am.'' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) replied, "When the practice of honoring a trust is lost, expect the Last Day.'' He asked: "How could it be lost?'' He replied, "When the government is entrusted to the undeserving people, then wait for the Last Day.''  [Al-Bukhari Vol-1, Book 3, Hadith # 56].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 14.  The Bedouins say: "We believe." Say: "You believe not but you only say, 'We have surrendered (in Islam)Here a very important sign of the nearness of the Day of Judgment has been mentioned: The affairs of the world will be in the hands of wicked and undeserving people. The sinners and wicked people will become the leaders of the world. The preaching pulpits would also be occupied by people who would be greedy and ignorant. They will be devoid of piety and abstinence.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 013

Ayat 13. O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 13. O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). This is addressed to all mankind and not only to the Muslim brotherhood, though it is understood that in a perfected world the two would be synonymous. As it is, mankind is descended from one pair of parents. Their tribes, races, and nations are convenient labels by which we may know certain differing characteristics. Before Allah they are all one, and he gets most honor who is most righteous.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah [SAWW]! Who is the most honorable amongst mankind?'' He [SAWW](PBUH) said, "The most honorable of them is one who is the most pious of them.'' They said, "We are not asking about this". He said, "Then, the most honorable of men was Yusuf (Joseph), the Prophet of Allah, the son of Allah's Prophet, who was the son of the Prophet of Allah, who was the son of the Khalil of Allah (i.e., Ibrahim (PBUH))' They said, "We are not asking you about this.'' He enquired, "Are you then asking me about the classes of the Arabs? The best of them in the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance are the best of them in Islam, provided they comprehend the religious knowledge".  [Muslim Book 30, Chapter 08, Hadith # 5679].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 13 “Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious)’’ We come to know from this Hadith that the families which enjoyed popularity and prestige for their eminent qualities (like generosity, chivalry, honesty, etc.) in the pre-Islamic period were also credited for these values after their acceptance of Islam. But now their respect was qualified with their religious knowledge and practice. Their capabilities, self-respect and other qualities were turned towards a different direction. These qualities which were previously used for paganism were now devoted for Islam.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 012

Ayat 12. O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

Hazrat Abu-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Nothing will be heavier on the Day of Resurrection in the Scale of the believer than good manners. Allah hates one who utters foul or coarse language.'' [At-Tirmidhi, Hadith # 2002].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 12 “And spy not, neither backbite one another’’ The most beneficial thing on the Day of Resurrection will be a courteous behavior which will outweigh all good actions. But that will be witnessed in case of a believer as there is no question of weighing a non-believer's good actions. Allah Himself says in the Qur'an: "So their works are in vain, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall assign no weight for them.'' So will a morally depraved and nonsensical man stand unfavored with Allah, and this will be a sign of his frustration and disillusionment in the Hereafter.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 011

Ayat 11. O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former; nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former, nor defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. How bad is it, to insult one's brother after having Faith [i.e. to call your Muslim brother (a faithful believer) as: "O sinner", or "O wicked", etc.]. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 11. O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong. Mutual ridicule ceases to be fun when there is arrogance or selfishness or malice behind it. We may laugh with people, to share in the happiness of life: we must never laugh at people in contempt or ridicule. In many things they may be better than ourselves! Defamation may consist in speaking ill of others by the spoken or written word, or in acting in such a way as to suggest a charge against some person whom we are not in a position to judge. A cutting, biting remark or taunt of sarcasm is included in the word lamaza. An offensive nickname may amount to defamation, but in any case there is no point in using offensive nicknames, or names that suggest some real or fancied defect. They ill accord with the serious purpose which Muslims should have in life. For example, even if a man is lame, it is wrong to address him as "O lame one!" It causes him pain, and it is bad manners. So in the case of the rude remark, "the black man"

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg
[SAWW](PBUH) said,  "Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and accomplishments".  [Muslim Book 32, Chapter 08, Hadith # 6221].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 11. O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former” This Hadith highlights the importance of sincerity and good intention. It is, therefore, essential that every noble action should be based on these two virtues; and heart should be free from all such things that destroy noble deeds. Hypocrisy, ostentation, greed for wealth, riches and other worldly things fall in the category of such evils. Since the true condition of heart is known to Allah alone, the true position of one's actions will be known on the Day of Resurrection when one will be requited for them by Allah. In this world, one will be treated according to his apparent condition while his insight will be left to Allah.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 010

Ayat 10. The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 10. The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. The enforcement of the Muslim Brotherhood is the greatest social ideal of Islam. On it was based the Prophet's Sermon at his last pilgrimage, and Islam cannot be completely realized until this ideal is achieved.

Hazrat Abu Ayub Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D1B474.6C08D820[SAWW](PBUH) said, "It is not lawful for a Muslim to desert (stop talking to) his brother beyond three nights, the one turning one way and the other turning to the other way when they meet, the better of the two is one who is the first to greet the other.''  [Al-Bukhari Hadith # 6077 and Muslim Hadith # 2560].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 10. The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers” (1). Since Islam is a religion based on the nature of man, it has a suitable concession in all his natural affairs. When there occurs a dispute between two Muslims then unpleasantness and contraction of mind are bound to result from it. In such a situation they naturally do not like to speak or maintain contact with each other. Islamic Shari`ah has acknowledged the validity of this reaction and granted permission to the party to suspend speech for three days. Since longevity of suspension of contact leads to severe hatred and animosity which increases dissension in society, creates obstruction in family relations and injures the bond of friendship, Muslims have been ordered not to let this temporary unpleasantness and turbidity go beyond a period of three days.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 009

Ayat 9. And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them both, but if one of them rebels against the other, then fight you (all) against the one that which rebels till it complies with the Command of Allah; then if it complies, then make reconciliation between them justly, and be equitable. Verily! Allah loves those who are equitable.

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is oppressed". A man enquired: "O Messenger of Allah! I help him when he is oppressed, but how can I help him when he is an oppressor?'' He  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "You can keep him from committing oppression. That will be your help to him".  [Al-Bukhari Volume 3, Book 43, Hadith Number 624].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 9. And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them both, but if one of them rebels against the other" This Hadith contains a very comprehensive injunction to eliminate disturbance and tyranny in the Muslim society. It not only ordains helping the oppressed but also encourages people endowed with moral courage to stop the oppressor's oppression. Doing so requires great courage and boldness, but Muslims would be able to do full justice to their duty of wishing well to their fellow Muslims when they develop the moral courage to stop the oppressor from tyranny, or at least protest against it verbally.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 007-008

Ayat 7. And know that, among you there is the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH). If he were to obey you (i.e. follow your opinions and desires) in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble, but Allah has endeared the Faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts, and has made disbelief, wickedness and disobedience (to Allah and His Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) hateful to you. These! They are the rightly guided ones,
Ayat 8. (This is) a Grace from Allah and His Favour. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 7 and 8. And know that among you is Allah’s Messenger. were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness; The messenger of Allah, if he consults his friends and associates, should not be expected to follow their advice in all matters. The judgment and responsibility are his: he sees farther than the rest, and he is not swayed by personal feeling as others may be. (R). 4926 Fortunate indeed was the generation among whom the Prophet of Allah walked in his daily life. His example was inspiring. Their inner Faith was dear to them; it was a thing to be proud of in their innermost hearts; and they loved discipline, obedience, and righteousness. No wonder all their other disadvantages were neutralized, and they went from strength to strength. Nothing but the Grace of Allah could have brought about such a result. 8. A Grace and Favour from Allah. and Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.

Hazrat Irbad bin Sariyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: One day Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) delivered us a very eloquent Khutbah on account of which eyes shed tears and hearts were full of tears. A man said: "O Prophet of Allah, this is as if it were a parting advice. So advise us". He image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "I admonish you to fear Allah, to listen and obey even if an Abyssinian slave is appointed as your leader. Because whosoever among you shall live after me, will see much discord. So hold fast to my Sunnah and the examples of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs who will come after me. Adhere to them and hold to it fast. Beware of new things (in Deen) because every Bid’ah is a misguidance".  [Abu Dawud Hadith # 4607 and At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2676].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 07. “If he were to obey you (i.e. follow your opinions and desires) in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble” This Hadith stresses piety, obedience to the leader, following in the footsteps of the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and the first four noble caliphs. It strictly forbids innovation in Deen. This Hadith also reveals the prediction of the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) that the Muslim Ummah will become a victim of dissension. He also prescribed the right means to counteract it. The remedy that he has proposed for this problem is that Muslims should never deviate from the path laid for them by him and his righteous successors. This is the touchstone for discovering the truth from the mess of different views. All the troubles of Muslims would come to an end if they accept this as the one singular criterion of right and wrong.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 006

Ayat 6. O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 6. O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done. All tittle-tattle or reports—especially if emanating from persons you do not know—are to be tested, and the truth ascertained. If they were believed and passed on, much harm may be done, of which you may have cause afterwards to repent heartily. Scandal or slander of all kinds is here condemned. That about women is specially denounced.

Hazrat Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Shall I not inform you of one of the gravest of the cardinal sins?'' We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!'' He (PBUH) said, "To join others as partners with Allah in worship and to be undutiful to one's parents.'' The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sat up from his reclining position (in order to stress the importance of what he was going to say) and added, "I warn you making a false statement and giving a false testimony. I warn you against making a false statement and giving a false testimony.'' The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) kept on repeating this (warning) till we wished he should stop.
[Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 74, Hadith # 290-291].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 6. O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it" The contents of this Hadith make the gravity of making a false statement abundantly clear. How unfortunate indeed it is that, like other major sins, the evil of giving false testimony is very common among the present-day Muslims. May Allah prevent us from it.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 003-005

Ayat 3. Verily! Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah’s Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety. For them is forgiveness and a great reward.
Ayat 4. Verily! Those who call you from behind the dwellings, most of them have no sense.
Ayat 5. And if they had patience till you could come out to them, it would have been better for them. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) Ayat 3 to 5. Those that lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger,- their hearts has Allah tested for piety: for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. The essence of good manners arises from the heart. The man who really and sincerely respects his Leader has true piety in his heart, just as the man who does the opposite may undo the work of years by weakening the Leader's authority. Ayat 4. Those who shout out to thee from without the Inner Apartments most of them lack understanding. To shout aloud to your Leader from outside his Chambers shows disrespect both for his person, his time, and his engagements. Only ignorant fools would be guilty of such unseemly behavior. It is more seemly of them to wait and bide their time until he is free to come out and attend to them. But, in the Court of a spiritual King, much is forgiven that is due to lack of knowledge and understanding. In the earthly Court, ignorance of the Law excuses no man. If a man behaved in that way to the General of an army or the Governor of a Province, not to speak of an earthly King, he would be laid hands on by the Guard, and could never gain the access he desires. Al Hujurat: "The Inner Apartments" or "The Chambers." Ayat 5. If only they had patience until thou could come out to them, it would be best for them: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Every one of my Ummah will enter Jannah except those who refuse". He was asked: "Who will refuse?'' He image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Whoever obeys me, shall enter Jannah, and whosoever disobeys me, refuses to (enter Jannah)".
[Al-Bukhari Book 9, Chapter 92, Hadith # 384]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 3. Verily! Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah’s Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety. For them is forgiveness and a great rewardThe word Ummah here stands for the community which accepted the invitation of the Prophet (image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), that is to say, the people who on his call embraced Islam. Out of this community who follow him faithfully will go to Jannah.

[49] Surah Al-Hujurat [The Dwellings]: Ayat 001-002

Ayat 1. O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
Ayat 2. O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 49. Al Hujurat (The Chambers) 1. O Ye who believe! Put not yourselves forward before Allah and His Messenger. but fear Allah. For Allah is He Who hears and knows all things. 4919 Several shades of meaning are implied: (1) do not make yourselves conspicuous in word or deed when in the presence of Allah (e.g. in a Mosque, or at Prayers or religious assemblies); (2) do not anticipate in word or deed what your Leader (Allah's Messenger) may say or do; (3) do not be impatient, trying to hasten things before the time is ripe, of which the best Judge is Allah, Who speaks through His Messenger. Be reverent in all things, as in the presence of Allah: for He hears and sees all things. (4) Look to the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be on him) for guidance and let nothing else take precedence over them. (R). 2. O ye who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk, as ye may speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds become vain and ye perceive not. It is bad manners to talk loudly before your Leader. Some ill-mannered people so raise their voices as to drown the voice of their Leader, in conversation or in Council. Such rudeness may even destroy the value of such services as they may otherwise have been able to render, and all this without their even realizing the harm they were doing to the Cause.

Hazrat An-Numan bin Bashir (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah cid:image003.gif@01D1B1F9.D69AB050[SAWW](PBUH) said, "What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear, but between them are certain doubtful things which many people do not know. So he who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and his honor blameless. But he who falls into doubtful things falls into that which is unlawful, just as a shepherd who grazes his cattle in the vicinity of a pasture declared prohibited (by the king); he is likely to stray into the pasture. Mind you, every king has a protected pasture and Allah's involved limits is that which He has declared unlawful. Verily, there is a piece of flesh in the body, if it is healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Verily, it is the heart.'' [Muslim Book 10, Chapter 41, Hadith # 3882].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 1. O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) There are such meeting-points between what is permissible and what is not permissible in the matter of religion of which the majority of people are ignorant. If man abstains from them, it means that he is keeping his duty to Allah. Yet, if he is involved in them without caring for what is allowable or unallowable, he may be supposed to have out stepped the Divine limits. Businessmen and traders are particularly warned here to avoid things of dubious nature and are urged to adopt only that pattern which is lawful. Another important point underlying this Hadith concerns the heart. Its purity or impurity directly affects the human conduct in a good or bad way. It is, therefore, absolutely necessary to cleanse the heart of all wiles and impurities, and this is not possible without sound Faith and consciousness of Allah.
