[48] Surah Al-Fath [The Victory]: Ayat 026

Ayat 26. When those who disbelieve had put in their hearts pride and haughtiness the pride and haughtiness of the time of ignorance, then Allah sent down His Sakinah (calmness and tranquility) upon His Messenger (image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and upon the believers, and made them stick to the word of piety (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and they were well entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah is the All-Knower of everything.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Fath Ayat 26. While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquility to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things. While the Unbelievers were blustering and excited, and meticulously objected to introductory words such as "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, from Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah" (they did not like the tides), the Prophet remained calm and collected, and got the substance of their demands embodied in the Treaty without worrying about words. Even though the terms of the Treaty appeared to the companions, at first, to be unfair to Muslims, they remained faithful to their Leader and showed trust in his better judgment, a trust that was vindicated by the events that followed. It = Tranquility. Their calmness amid much provocation was a gift of Allah; they had earned a right to it by their obedience and discipline, and showed themselves well worthy of it.

Hazrat Imran bin Husain (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) taught my father two statements to recite in his Dua. These are: "Allahumma al-himni rushdi, wa a’idhni min sharri nafsi (O Allah! Inspire in me guidance and deliver me from the evils within myself).'' [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 3483].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Fath Ayat 26. “Allah sent down His Sakinah (calmness and tranquility) upon His Messenger (image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and upon the believersAl-Hidayah'' (guidance) means the ability to do good deeds. It is an indication of the right course for every action. "Deliver me from the evils within myself'' refers to the desires of the baser self which ruin both the worldly and religious life.
