[48] Surah Al-Fath [The Victory]; Ayat 020

Ayat 20. Allah has promised you abundant spoils that you will capture, and He has hastened for you this, and He has restrained the hands of men from you, that it may be a sign for the believers, and that He may guide you to a Straight Path.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Fath Ayat 20. Allah has promised you many gains that ye shall acquire, and He has given you these beforehand; and He has restrained the hands of men from you; that it may be a Sign for the Believers, and that He may guide you to a Straight Path; The gains so far seen from the Bay'ah and their calm and disciplined behavior were certainly great; but greater still were to follow in the spiritual sense, in the rapid spread of Islam, in the clearance from the Sacred House of the idolatrous autocracy, and in the universal acceptance of the Message of Allah in Arabia . The first fruits of the Bay'ah were the victory or treaty of Hudaibiyyah, the cessation for the time being of the hostility of the Makkan Quraysh, and the opening out of the way to Makkah. These things are implied in the phrase. "He has restrained the hands of men from you." Hudaibiyyah (in both the Bay'ah and the Treaty) was truly a sign post for the Believers: it showed the solidarity of Islam, and the position which the Muslims had won in the Arab world.

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D1AAAA.14523870[SAWW] (PBUH) said, "When one of you supplicates, let him be decisive and he should not say: `O Allah, bestow upon me such and such if You wish', because no one has the power to compel Him.'' [Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 75, Hadith # 350].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Fath Ayat 20." and that He may guide you to a Straight Path. One should pray to Allah will full confidence that He will answer his prayers. One should also persist in praying and never give in to despair.
