[48] Surah Al-Fath [The Victory]: Ayat 016

Ayat 16. Say to the Bedouins who lagged behind: "You shall be called to fight against a people given to great warfare, then you shall fight them, or they shall surrender. Then if you obey, Allah will give you a fair reward, but if you turn away as you did turn away before, He will punish you with a painful torment."

Tafseer of Surah Al-Fath Ayat 16. Say to the desert Arabs who lagged behind: "Ye shall be summoned (to fight) against a people given to) vehement war: then shall ye fight, or they shall submit. Then if ye show obedience, Allah will grant you a goodly reward, but if ye turn back as ye did before, He will punish you with a grievous Penalty." While they are reproached for their supineness in the march which led to Hudaibiyyah, where there was danger but no prospect of booty, they are promised, if they learn discipline, to be allowed to follow the Banner of Islam where (as happened later in the Persian and Byzantine Wars) there was real fighting with formidable and well-organized armies. Cf. 27:33. That is, you shall go forth to war if you learn discipline, not for booty, but for a great and noble Cause. For if your opponents submit to the Cause, there will be no fighting and no booty.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  , "There will be afflictions (in the near future) during which a sitting person will be better than a standing one, and the standing one will be better than the walking one, and the walking one will be better than the running one, and whoever will expose himself to these afflictions, they will destroy him. So whoever can find a place of protection or refuge from them, should take shelter in it."  [Al-Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Number 202].

Lesson : There would be such disasters and agony in the world that people will prefer hide in peace to save their life under such conditions. This situation will arise before the Day of Resurrection, and the Day of Judgment will dawn on such wicked people.
