২৯. যাতে
কিতাবধারীরা জানে যে,
আল্লাহর সামান্য অনুগ্রহের উপর ও তাদের কোন ক্ষমতা
নেই, দয়া আল্লাহরই হাতে;
তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা,
তা দান করেন।
আল্লাহ মহা
অনুগ্রহশীল।
Ayat 29. So
that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may know that
they have no power whatsoever over the Grace of Allah, and that (His)
Grace is (entirely) in His Hand to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. And
Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty.
Tafseer of Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 29. That the People of the Book may know that they have no power whatever over the Grace of Allah, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand, to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding. Let not any race, or people, or community, or group, believe that they have exclusive possession of Allah's Grace, or that they can influence its grant or its withholding. Allah's Grace is free, and entirely controlled by Him, independently of any priests and privileged people. He dispenses it according to His own wise and Holy Will and Plan; and to His Grace there is no limit.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "If
anyone calls others to follow right guidance, his reward will be
equivalent to those who follow him (in righteousness) without their
reward being diminished in any respect, and if anyone invites others to
follow error, the sin, will be equivalent to that of the people who
follow him (in sinfulness) without their sins being diminished in any
respect". [Muslim Book # 06, Chapter 34, Hadith # 6470].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Hadid Ayat 29. So that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may know that they have no power whatsoever over the Grace of Allah” Invitation' and `Call' stand to mean here that someone induces others to virtue or seduces to sin by means of his speech or action. We come to know from this Hadith that one who becomes a medium for either of them is given a reward or punishment respectively by Allah (SWT).
