[42]. Surah Ash-Shura [The Consultation]: Ayat 030

৩০. তোমাদের উপর যেসব বিপদ-আপদ পতিত হয়, তা তোমাদের কর্মেরই ফল এবং তিনি তোমাদের অনেক গোনাহ ক্ষমা করে দেন

Ayat 30. And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Qur’an Verse 35:45).

Tafseer of Surah Al Shura (Consultation) Ayat 30. Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness. All evil, all sorrow, all pain and affliction, are things not normal, things twisted from the pure and holy nature as created by Allah's hands. As far as man is concerned, his misfortunes are but the consequences of the things he has done, He must bear personal responsibility for them and not throw the blame on others.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "O people! Allah is Pure and, therefore, accepts only that which is pure. Allah has commanded the believers as He has commanded His Messengers by saying: `O Messengers! Eat of the good things, and do good deeds.' (23:51) And He said: `O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you...''' (2:172). Then he image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) made a mention of the person who travels for a long period of time, his hair are disheveled and covered with dust. He lifts his hand towards the sky and thus makes the supplication: `My Rubb! My Rubb!' But his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothes are unlawful and his nourishment is unlawful, how can, then his supplication be accepted?'' [Muslim Hadith # 2214].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shura Ayat 30. And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons muchThis Hadith shows the value of the honest earning, for the grant of prayer, honest earning is essential. Allah accepts charity only if it has been earned in an honest way. Moreover, before any pious action, honest earning for living is essential; otherwise good actions will also go waste.
