[44]. Surah Ad-Dukhan [The Smoke]: Ayat 025-029

Ayat 25. How many of gardens and springs do they [Firaun’s (Pharaoh) people] left.
Ayat 26. And green crops (fields etc.) and goodly places,
Ayat 27. And comforts of life wherein they used to take delight!
Ayat 28. Thus (it was)! And Allah made other people inherit them (i.e. He made the Children of Israel to inherit the kingdom of Egypt).
Ayat 29. And the heavens and the earth wept not for them, nor were they given a respite.

Tafseer of Surah Ad-Dukhan Ayat 25. There follows a word picture of all the fine and enjoyable things which the ruling caste had monopolized. Now these proud monopolists were drowned in the sea, and the inheritance went to other hands. Ayat 26. And corn-fields and noble buildings, Ayat 27. And wealth (and conveniences of life), wherein they had taken such delight! Ayat 28. Thus (was their end)! And Allah made other people inherit (those things)! Ayat 29. And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite (again). They died, "unwept, unhonoured, and unsung". They were too inordinate to be given another chance. Pharaoh had claimed to be their supreme god; and they had followed him!

Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D0A164.BDA4F390[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Everyone will be raised in the condition in which he dies".
[Muslim Book 40, Chapter 19, Hadith # 6878]

This Hadith signifies that if a person dies performing good deeds, he will have a good end; and the one who dies in misdeeds, he will come to a bad end. It is, therefore, necessary that one should always avoid disobedience of Divine injunctions, especially in old age and illness because one may fall in the clutches of death at any time.
