[48] Surah Al-Fath [The Victory]: Ayat 004-005

Ayat. 4. He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (calmness and tranquility) into the hearts of the believers, that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith. And to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.
Ayat 5. That He may admit the believing men and the believing women to Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. Paradise), to abide therein forever, and to expiate from them their sins, and that is with Allah, a supreme success,

Tafseer of Surah Al-Fath Ayat 04 and 05. It is He Who sent down Tranquility into the hearts of the Believers, that they may add faith to their faith; for to Allah belong the Forces of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom; The results were achieved by tranquility, calmness, and cool courage among the 1400 to 1500 unarmed men who accompanied the Prophet to Hudaibiyyah and who were threatened with violence by the excited Quraysh leaders of Makkah. It is a casuistically question to ask, are there degrees in Faith? The plain meaning is that Believers will see one Sign of Allah after another, and with each their Faith is confirmed. During all the long years of persecution and conflict they had Faith, but when they see their old enemies actually coming out to negotiate with them, their Faith is justified, fulfilled, and confirmed: and they turn in gratitude to Allah. There are visible forces which you see in the physical world. Men fight with armed forces, and the Muslims had to defend themselves with arms also, and not without success. But social, moral, and spiritual forces were fighting for them under Allah's command, and they were the real forces that established the Message of Islam and the position of its Leader and Preacher. 5. That He may admit the men and women who believe, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein for aye, and remove their ills from them;- and that is, in the sight of Allah, the highest achievement (for man), This clause is coordinated to the previous clause, "That they may add Faith to their Faith". The intervening words, "For to Allah . . . and Wisdom" are parenthetical. The third co-ordinate clause comes in the next verse, "And that He may punish." The skeleton construction will be, "Allah sends down calm courage to Believers in order that they may be confirmed in their Faith; that they may qualify for the Bliss of Heaven; and that the evil ones may receive the punishment they deserve."

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "When a group of people assemble for the remembrance of Allah, the angels surround them (with their wings), (Allah's) mercy envelops them, Sakinah, or tranquility descends upon them and Allah makes a mention of them before those who are near Him.'' [Muslim Book 35, Chapter 11, Hadith # 6518].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Fath Ayat 4. He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (calmness and tranquility) into the hearts of the believers" This Hadith also highlights the merits of remembrance of Allah and the high grades of the people indulging in it.

[48] Surah Al-Fath [The Victory]: Ayat 001-003

Ayat 1. Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH)) a manifest victory.
Ayat 2. That Allah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path;
Ayat 3. And that Allah may help you with strong help.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Fath Ayat 1. Verily We have granted thee a manifest Victory: This is best referred to the Treaty of Hudaibiyyah, for which see the Introduction to this Surah. By this Treaty the Makkan Quraysh. after many years of unrelenting conflict with Islam, at length recognized Islam as (what they thought) an equal power with themselves. In reality the door was then opened for the free spread of Islam throughout Arabia and thence through the world. 2. That Allah may forgive thee thy faults of the past and those to follow; fulfil His favour to thee; and guide thee on the Straight Way; 40:55, and Cf. 47:19. Any mistakes of the past were now rectified, and any future ones prevented by the free scope now offered, by the act of the Quraysh Pagans themselves, to the recognition and free promulgation of Islam. 3. And that Allah may help thee with powerful help. The results were achieved by tranquility, calmness, and cool courage among the 1400 to 1500 unarmed men who accompanied the Prophet to Hudaibiyyah and who were threatened with violence by the excited Quraysh leaders of Makkah.

Hazrat Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah cid:image003.gif@01D1A169.41A44E20[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Grant shelter to him who begs for it in the Name of Allah, give to him who begs in the Name of Allah, accept the invitation of him who invites you, and requite him who does a favour to you, but if you are unable to requite him, go on praying for him till you are sure that you have requited him adequately.'' [Abu Dawud Hadith # 1672 and An-Nasa'i Hadith # 2568].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Fath Ayat 3. And that Allah may help you with strong help. (1). Since Allah is the Real Creator and Maker of all things and events, these should without any exception be attributed to Him Alone. If a reference is made to the cause or causes which occasion an incident or event, it is permissible but to ascribe them entirely to some factor or factors is the conduct of polytheists and amounts to Shirk and Kufr. (2). People of the Period of Ignorance used to ascribe the rain which occurred at the appearance or setting of some star, to that star and would thus accept it as the real cause of it. In this Hadith, such ascription has been regarded as Kufr and Shirk.

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 038

Ayat. 38. Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his own self. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes.
Tafseer of Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 38. Behold, ye are those invited to spend (of your substance) in the Way of Allah. But among you are some that are niggardly. But any who are niggardly are so at the expense of their own souls. But Allah is free of all wants, and it is ye that are needy. If ye turn back (from the Path), He will substitute in your stead another people; then they would not be like you! Here the cases of the special devotee and of the average man with his human foibles are distinguished. Stinginess is not a virtue: it hurts more the finer nature of the individual practicing it than it hurts the Cause. Allah is free of all wants and independent of any need that we can meet. His Cause is similarly independent of human aid. But it uses human agency for our own human advancement. The need to be able to serve Allah's cause is ours. We are the needy beggars who should claim the privilege before the Lord of Bounties unbounded. If we desert the Cause, the Cause will not fail. Better men than we will uphold the flag. But we should fall, and others will take our place, who are not so timid, half-hearted, or stingy. In Wordsworth's words, "High Heaven rejects the lore of nicely calculated less or more."

Hazrat Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I came to the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) while he was reciting (Surat At-Takathur 102): "The mutual rivalry (for hoarding worldly things) preoccupy you. Until you visit the graves (i.e., till you die). (102:1-8) (After reciting) he (PBUH) said, "Son of Adam says: `My wealth, my wealth.' Do you own of your wealth other than what you eat and consume, and what you wear and wear out, or what you give in Sadaqah (charity) (to those who deserve it), and that what you will have in stock for yourself.''  [Muslim Book 01, Chapter 42, Hadith # 7061]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 38. Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his own self. and in Surah Fatir Ayat 29. “spend (in charity) out of what Allah have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a (sure) trade gain that will never perish” This Hadith enjoins if a person given wealth, he or she should spend it in way liked by Allah because it is this Sadaqah which will be a valuable treasure in the Afterlife. Whatever else he or she consumes in this world, will finish or rot in this world and will be of no avail in Hereafter.

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 036-037

Ayat 36.  The life of this world is but play and pastime, but if you believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and fear Allah, and avoid evil, He will grant you your wages, and will not ask you your wealth.
Ayat 37. If He were to ask you of it, and press you, you would covetously withhold, and He will bring out all your (secret) ill-wills.

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 36. The life of this world is but play and amusement: and if ye believe and guard against Evil, He will grant you your recompense, and will not ask you (to give up) your possessions. Cf. 6:32 and 29:64. Amusement and play are not bad things in themselves. As preparations for the more serious life, they have their value. But if we concentrate on them, and neglect the business of life, we cannot prosper. So we must use our life in this world as a preparation for our spiritual or inner life. Complete self-sacrifice, if voluntarily offered, has a meaning: it means that the person's devotion is exclusively and completely for the Cause. But no law or rule can demand it. And a mere offer to kill yourself has no meaning. You should be ready to take risks to your life in fighting for the Cause, but you should aim at life, not death. If you live, you should be ready to place your substance and your acquisitions at the disposal of the Cause. But it is not reasonable to pauperize yourself and become a hanger-on for the Cause. Moreover, the inborn tendency to self-preservation in an average man would lead to concealment and miserliness if all were asked for the Cause, by Law, and there would further be a feeling of bitterness and rebellion. Ayat 37. If He were to ask you for all of them, and press you, ye would covetously withhold, and He would bring out all your ill-feeling. Cf. 3:180.

Hazrat Sahl bin Saad As-Saaidi (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, guide me to such an action which, if I do Allah will love me and the people will also love me.'' He image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH)  said, "Have no desire for this world, Allah will love you; and have no desire for what people possess, and the people will love you.''
[Ibn Majah Hadith 4102]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 36.  The life of this world is but play and pastime, but if you believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) "Zuhd'' (ascetism) does not mean renunciation of the world and obligations of life. What it really means is that one should be contented with what he possess and rid himself of greed. Islam neither permits renunciation of the world nor does it condemn genuine struggle to acquire wealth and riches. Therefore, involvement in worldly affairs and struggle for lawful means of livelihood are not against Zuhd. A person who is contented with the lawful means of income is a distinguished person as all his activities are exalted to the level of worship. Similarly, unconcern with the wealth and riches of others and ignoring them is a part of Zuhd and contentment. One additional advantage of it is that such a person wins the love and respect of the people because he who begs people, rather than Allah, has to suffer disgrace and is disliked by the people. The case of begging from Allah is just the opposite. The more a person begs Him, the more pleased He will be with him. In fact, He is displeased if someone does not beg Him. This has been exquisitely stated in an Arabic verse, the meaning of which is: "Do not stretch your hands before anyone for your needs, but beg from Him (Allah) whose door is always open". "If a person does not beg Him (Allah), He is displeased, while if one begs someone He becomes furious".

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 035

Ayat 35. So be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islam), while you are having the upper hand. Allah is with you, and will never decrease the reward of your good deeds.

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 35. Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds. To those who are trying to root out evil, and have authority to do so, the question is not of peace or conflict, but of whether Good or Evil is to prevail. They must remember the Good must ultimately prevail, and Allah's help is with those who, as far as men can, are trying to further the universal Plan.

Hazrat Abu Abs Abdur-Rahman bin Jabr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D19F10.F8A23C50 [SAWW](PBUH) said, "It will not happen that the feet soiled with dust while (doing Jihad) in the way of Allah, will be touched by the fire (of Hell).'' [Al-Bukhari Hadith # 2811].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 35. So be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islam)" "Fight for Allah's cause", "Feet soiled with dust'' means participation in Jihad. That is to say, a person takes part in Jihad and yet goes to Hell is altogether impossible. What it signifies is that Jihad is a means of expiation of sins and that it guarantees the admission into Jannah, provided he is not guilty of major sins. This exception is confirmed by other Ahadith.

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 033-034

Ayat 33. O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and render not vain your deeds.
Ayat 34. Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam); then die while they are disbelievers, Allah will not forgive them.

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 33 and 34. O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the messenger, and make not vain your deeds! (If ye love Allah) and His religion, (follow Prophet SAWW) follow my Religion; (Allah will love you) He will increase your love (and forgive you your sins) which were committed when you followed Judaism. (Allah is Forgiving) of whoever repents, (Merciful) towards whoever dies in a state of repentance. This verse was revealed about the Jews who claimed they were the children of Allah and His beloved ones. When this verse was revealed 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy said: “Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) is commanding us to love him as the Christians loved Jesus”, and the Jews said: “Muhammad image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) wants us to take him as a compassionate Lord, just as the Christians took Jesus as a compassionate Lord”. Consequently, Allah revealed about their comments: (Say: Obey Allah) regarding what He has obligated (and the Messenger) in his practices. (But if they turn away) from obeying them, (Lo! Allah loved not the disbelievers) the Jews and the hypocrites. Ayat 34. Those who reject Allah, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, then die rejecting Allah, -Allah will not forgive them.

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Three men came to the houses of the wives of the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) to inquire about the worship of The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH). When they were informed, they considered their worship insignificant and said: "Where are we in comparison with The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) while Allah has forgiven his past sins and future sins". One of them said: "As for me, I shall offer Salat all night long.'' Another said: "I shall observe Saum (fasting) continuously and shall not break it". Another said: "I shall abstain from women and shall never marry". The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) came to them and said, "Are you the people who said such and such things? By Allah, I fear Allah more than you do, and I am most obedient and dutiful among you to Him, but still I observe fast and break it; perform Salat and sleep at night and get married and take wives. So whoever turns away from my Sunnah does not belong to me".
[Al-Bukhari Book 7, Chapter 62, Hadith # 001]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 33. O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH).
1. This Hadith deals with the following five points:
a) Moderation in worship.
b) Obligation to marry.
c) Inducement for following in the Prophet's footsteps.
d) Prohibition from observing Saum (fasts) all the time.
e) Prohibition of keeping awake all the night for Nawafil prayers.
2. There is neither virtue nor reward for making innovations in religion. All the blessings and rewards lie only in the obedience and following the conduct of the Prophet image001.jpg (PBUH).

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 032

Ayat 32. Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam), and oppose the Messenger (image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) (by standing against him and hurting him), after the guidance has been clearly shown to them, they will not hurt Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds fruitless,

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 32. Those who reject Allah, hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and resist the Messenger, after Guidance has been clearly shown to them, will not injure Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds of no effect. Cf. verse 25 earlier, and verse 34 next; in verse 25 was shown the source of the evil, viz., yielding to the deceptions of the Evil One; in this verse are shown the proximate consequences of such yielding to evil, viz., failure of all we do; and in verse 34 below are shown the eternal consequences, viz., our deprivation of Allah's Grace and Mercy.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "Allah, the Exalted, becomes angry, and His Anger is provoked when a person does what Allah has declared unlawful.'' [Al-Bukhari Book 07, Chapter 62, Hadith # 150].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 32. Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam), and oppose the Messenger (image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) "This Hadith warns us against committing sins and all that Allah has forbidden in order to avoid exciting the anger of Allah.

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 031

Ayat 31. And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allah) and the patient ones, and We shall test your facts (i.e. the one who is a liar, and the one who is truthful).

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 31. And We shall try you until We test those among you who strive their utmost and persevere in patience; and We shall try your reported (mettle). Cf. 34:2. The test and trial is for our own psychological development, to help in the exercise of such choice as has been given to us in our free will. Cf 3:154. Akhbar, the things reported of you; reputation for courage and constancy, which has to be brought to the test of facts and experience. In an epigram of Tacitus we are told of a Roman Emperor that he would have been considered in every way to have been worthy of being a ruler if only he had never ruled! So in life people may think us courageous, true, noble, and self-sacrificing; and we may consider ourselves as possessing all such virtues; but it is actual experience that will bring them to the test.

Hazrat Sufyan bin `Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said, "O Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH), tell me something of Islam which I will not ask anyone else about it.'' He image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Say, `I believe in Allah' and then be steadfast".
[Muslim, Book 01, Chapter 14, Hadith # 062].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 31. “And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allah) and the patient ones" Steadfastness means adhering firmly to the injunctions of Islam, to act upon what is ordained and avoid what is prohibited, to perform dutifully orders in respect of obligations and what is regarded desirable and avoid what is unlawful. Faith is not a mere expression of Shahadah. The real Faith is one which is coupled with its actual practice because practice of religion is in fact the fruit of Faith. A tree which does not bear any fruit, has no value, similarly; faith becomes meaningless without practice. Steadfastness is the mark of perfect Faith.

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 029-030

Ayat 29. Or do those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy), think that Allah will not bring to light all their hidden ill-wills?
Ayat 30. Had We willed, We could have shown them to you, and you should have known them by their marks, but surely, you will know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all your deeds.

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 29. Or do those in whose hearts is a disease, think that Allah will not bring to light all their rancor? 20 above, and n. 4845. Being diseased at the very core of their being, they do not understand the simplest facts of spiritual life.
Ayat 30. Had We so wiled, We could have shown them up to thee, and thou should have known them by their marks: but surely thou wilt know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all that ye do. 4854 Evil is not always necessarily branded in this life with a distinguishing mark or brand. But the discerning ones know. Evil is betrayed by its speech and behavior.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said,  "Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and accomplishments". [Muslim Book 32, Chapter 08, Hadith # 6221].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 29. “Allah will not bring to light all their hidden ill-wills? This Hadith highlights the importance of sincerity and good intention. It is, therefore, essential that every noble action should be based on these two virtues; and heart should be free from all such things that destroy noble deeds. Hypocrisy, ostentation, greed for wealth, riches and other worldly things fall in the category of such evils. Since the true condition of heart is known to Allah alone, the true position of one's actions will be known on the Day of Resurrection when one will be required for them by Allah. In this world, one will be treated according to his apparent condition while his insight will be left to Allah.

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 027-028

Ayat 27. Then how (will it be) when the angels will take their souls (of disbelievers) at death, smiting their faces and their backs?
Ayat 28. That is because they followed that which angered Allah, and hated that which pleased Him. So He made their deeds fruitless.

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 27. But how (will it be) when the angels take their souls at death, and smite their faces and their backs? It is all very well for them to practice hypocrisy in this life. How will they feel at death, when they find that the angels know all, and touch the very pots they had taken such care to conceal? Their faces and their backs: there is a subtle metaphor. The face is what looks to the front, the side you present to the outer world; the back is what is not shown, what is hidden from the world. The hypocrites will be hit at both points. Or, the face is what they boast of, what they are proud of; the back is the skeleton in the cupboard, the things they dare not utter, but which yet haunt them. The hypocrites are hit on ever} 7 side. Cf. 8:50. Ayat 28. This because they followed that which called forth the Wrath of Allah, and they hated Allah’s good pleasure; so He made their deeds of no effect.

Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When a dead body is placed on a bier and men carry it on their shoulders, if the deceased was pious, it (the corpse) will say: `Take me in haste'; but if he was not, it will say (to its bearers): `Woe to it. Where are you taking it?' Everything except man hears its voice. Had a human being heard its voice, he would have surely died".  [Al-Bukhari, Book 02, Chapter 23, Hadith # 400]

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 27. Then how (will it be) when the angels will take their souls (of disbelievers) at death, smiting their faces and their backs? The speech of a dead is a matter of the realm of the Unseen (or Al-Ghaib) which is mentioned in this Hadith. A deceased person will certainly say what has been disclosed here. A Muslim must have absolute faith in it. Almighty Allah is certainly capable of endowing the power of speech on a deceased person as he does speak with the angels (Munkar and Nakir) when they come to the dead in the grave and question him. This Hadith is intended to induce people to virtues so that after death, one has not to say: "Woe to me! Where are you taking me?” One should spend the life in such a manner that after death when he is taken to the graveyard for burial, he should be in a position to say: "Hasten to take me to my grave so that I can enjoy Divine blessings there".

[47] Surah Muhammad: Ayat 026

Ayat 26. This is because they (hypocrites) said to those who hate what Allah has sent down: "We will obey you (Pagans and Jews) in part of the matter," but Allah knows their secrets.

Tafseer of Surah Muhammad image001.jpg Peace be upon him] Ayat 26. This, because they said to those who hate what Allah has revealed, "We will obey you in part of (this) matter"; but Allah knows their (inner) secrets. They have become so impervious to facts and truths, because, without the courage to oppose Allah's Cause openly, they secretly intrigue with Allah's enemies, and say that they will follow them part of the way, and by remaining partly in the other camp, they will be far more useful as spies and half-hearted doubters than by going over altogether. If they think that this game will be successful, they are mistaken. All the inner secrets and motives of their hearts are known to Allah. Cf. 59:11.

Hazrat Ibn Masood (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Truth leads to piety and piety leads to Jannah. A man persists in speaking the truth till he is enrolled with Allah as a truthful. Falsehood leads to vice and vice leads to the Fire (Hell), and a person persists on telling lies until he is enrolled as a liar".'  [Muslim Book 32, Chapter 26, Hadith # 6306].

Lesson: Siddiq (veracious) and Kadhdhab (liar) both are adjectives of intensive degree. That is to say, the words stand respectively for someone whose truth has become his second nature; and in the opposite case, one is a liar who is in the habit of telling lies. As one acquires a reputation in this world for his good or bad deeds similar is his position before Allah. One who is ranked among the truthful with Him is entitled to reward, and if one is a liar, he has to suffer retribution for it. This Hadith provides incentive for truthfulness because it is a source of every good deed and contains a warning against lying as it gives rise to all kinds of mischief.
