[46]. Surah Al-Ahqaf [The Curved Sand Hills]: Ayat 034

৩৪. যেদিন কাফেরদেরকে জাহান্নামের সামনে পেশ করা হবে,  সেদিন বলা হবে, এটা কি সত্য নয়? তারা বলবে, হ্যাঁ আমাদের পালনকর্তার শপথ। আল্লাহ বলবেন, আযাব আস্বাদন কর। কারণ, তোমরা কুফরী করতে।

Ayat 34. And on the Day when those who disbelieve will be exposed to the Fire (it will be said to them): "Is this (Quran) not the truth?" They will say: "Yes, By our Lord!" He will say: "Then taste the torment, because you used to disbelieve!"

Tafseer of Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat 34. And on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (they will be asked,) "Is this not the Truth?" they will say, "Yea, by our Lord!" (One will say:) "Then taste ye the Penalty, for that ye were wont to deny (Truth)!" Cf. 46:20, where the argument was closed about the undutiful son of a good father. After that the example of 'Ad and of the believing Jinns was cited, and now is closed that argument in similar terms. The Truth which they denied is now all too clear to them. They are out of the Light of Truth, out of the Light of Allah's Countenance. And that in itself is a terrible Penalty. 

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said "Every Prophet was given miracles because of which people believed, but what I have been given, is Divine Inspiration (Quran) which Allah has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection." [Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 61, Hadith # 504].

Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ahqaf Ayat 34. “"Is this (Quran) not the truth?" They will say: "Yes, By our Lord!" He will say: "Then taste the torment, because you used to disbelieve!" Those who neglected the teachings of Islam will be disgraced and humiliated. May Allah guide and enable us to re-establish our contact with the Qur'an so that we can regain our past glory.
