Ayat
16. And
mention in the Book (the Qur'an, O Muhammad 
[SAWW](PBUH), the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from
her family to a place facing east.
Ayat 17. She placed a screen (to
screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibrael
(Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.
[Tafseer] the story of Mary as related in 3:42-51. Here the whole theme
is different: it is the personal side of the spiritual experiences of the
worshippers of Allah in relation to their families or environment. To a private
eastern chamber, perhaps in the Temple (Masjid). She went into privacy, from her
people and from people in general, for prayer and devotion. It was in this state
of purity that the angel appeared to her in the shape of a man. She thought it
was
man. She was frightened, and adjured him not to
invade her
privacy.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah
(May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "On the Day of Resurrection,
there will be brought forth a bulky person whose value to Allah will be less
than that of the wing of a mosquito".

1416]
Lesson : as
mentioned above in Surah Maryam Ayat 16."withdrew in
seclusion from her family to a place facing east" This Hadith means that manifestation of power and splendor,
which are considered so important for people in this world, will be of no value
to Allah. In the Hereafter, Allah will judge a person by his Faith, devotion and
piety. It is, therefore, essential that one should concentrate on the
reformation of his own heart and
mind.
