[19].Surah Maryam [Mary]:Ayat 29-31

Ayat 29. Then she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
Ayat 30. "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;"
Ayat 31. "And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live."
[Tafseer] What could Mary do! How could she explain? Would they, in their censorious mood, accept her explanation? All she could do was to point to the child, who, she knew, was no ordinary child. And the child came to her rescue. By a miracle he spoke, defended his mother, and preached-to an unbelieving audience. Jesus declares at the very outset that he is a servant of Allah, thus negative the false notion that he was Allah or the son of Allah, Devotion in Prayer and Charity is a good description of the Church of Christ at its best, and pity, purity, and devotion in Yahya are a good description of the ways leading to Prayer and Charity, just as John led to Jesus.

Hazrat Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: He who likes to meet Allah tomorrow (i.e., on the Day of Requital) as a Muslim, should take care and observe the Salat when the Adhan is announced for them. Allah has expounded to your Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) the ways of right guidance, and these (the prayers) are part of the right guidance. If you have to perform Salat in your houses, as this man who stays away (from the masjid) and performs Salat in his house, you will abandon the Sunnah (practice) of your Prophet [SAWW](PBUH), and the departure from the Sunnah of your Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) will lead you astray. I have seen the time when no one stayed behind except a well-known hypocrite. I also saw that a man was brought swaying (on account of weakness) between two men till he was set up in a row (in the masjid).
[Muslim Book 04,Chapter 85, Hadith # 1376]
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Maryam Ayat 31."and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live" This Hadith makes the following four points:
1.Emphasis on performing Salat in congregation.
2.The passion of the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) for Salat.
3.Evasion from Salat with congregation is a practice of hypocrites.
4.Inducement for following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) because evasion from it is bound to lead one astray.
