Ayat 81.
And they have taken (for worship) âliha (gods) besides Allah, that
they might give them honour, power and glory (and also protect them from Allah's
Punishment etc.).
Ayat 82. Nay, but they (the
so-called gods) will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them
(on the Day of Resurrection).
[Tafseer] And
they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and
glory! 'Izza = exalted rank, power, might, the
ability to impose one's will or to carry out one's will. (Nay, but they will deny their worship of them) i.e. the
idols will absolve themselves from the disbelievers' worship of them, (and
become) i.e. the idols (opponents unto them) a help in the torment of the
disbelievers.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah
(May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The
religion (of Islam) is easy, and whoever makes the religion a rigour, it will
overpower him. So, follow a middle course (in worship); if you can't do this, do
something near to it and give glad tidings and seek help (of Allah) at morn and
at dusk and some part of
night".
[Al-Bukhari Book 01,Chapter 02, Hadith #
038]
Lesson : as
mentioned above in Surah Maryam Ayat 81."And they have taken
(for worship) âliha (gods) besides Allah" Besides moderation in worship, this Hadith enjoins that
such times should be fixed for worship when one is fresh so that one feels
pleasure in performing it. But this principle is for optional and voluntary
prayers only. Obligatory Salat are to be performed at the prescribed times
only.
